There's a girl at work who asked for my input on this dream. I've got somewhat of an idea but I'd like anyone elses input. She was with someone(assuming boyfriend) and looked down and saw a beetle. It looked like a ladybug but she knew it was a beetle. It was red and gold. She picked it up and it stung her on three of her fingers. Thanks so much Peace to all IP: Logged |

Illusion vs. Intuition factor? A strong affiliation with the saying, "All that glitters is not gold." But, it just seems she probably expects the worst to happen when she sees something good, and uses that mind magick to manifest the negativity. IP: Logged |

Ra, I was going to call you last night at work but could not remember the number. Kathy was going to give it to me but I didn't see her again. How is everything? Baby Jake?Aphrodite, I agree. But for some reason I felt maybe a warning and that's why I wanted more input. I don't know this person that well and I'm not an expert on dreams. Sometimes they jump out at me and other times, like this one, they seem to stay out of reach. IP: Logged |

This one is staying out of my reach as well. But there is something to the red and gold alchemically, which may or may not apply here. Red is the fourth stage of transformation, and gold the final stage. And three can be a number of manifestation - three days, weeks, etc. Is something about to happen? Is there something she has been wanting? The fingers could suggest that she has a hold on something that is about to manifest, perhaps something that has been "bugging" her? Perhaps the old saying, "be careful what you wish for, you might just get it" is at work here? I am not really certain what the beetle may symbolize. Aphrodite could be right. IP: Logged |

Oh, and everything is well here! Jake has decided not to come out of the womb. If he does not make up his own mind, the inducement on Wednesday will! IP: Logged |

For some reason this dream just seem so familiar to me, maybe I've dreamt something similar myself...just can't get to it... "It looked like a ladybug, but she knew it was a beetle"...Ladybug = Lady beg..A beetle in disguise? I associate red and gold with wealth, abundance. Once bitten, twice shy? And Ra, Saturday, which is the 15th of February, is a good day for boys like JAke to be born. My son JAson will be 9, and I know a little JAcob and a young JAsper who also has birthday this day. So tell Jake if he'll make it by then, they'll let him join the JA-club..

I was also thinking that beetles look like they carry an armour. And it's all shiny and bright like a jewel. So maybe the beetle can symbolize her armour and that she's stung because she doesn't manage to protect herself under it...Under the shining armour is the ladybug.IP: Logged |

In Egypt, a scarab, or sacred beetle, had great significance. It came to be a symbol for solar deities and for new life. Red and gold enhance these symbols. The beetle goes through a tremendous metamorphosis from the grub stage to the winged. because of this it is associated with resurrection and change. The front wings are thickened into hard covers which fold and protect the soft underside. This may indicate a need to be more protective, or possibly that she is closed off, since she was stung by it. Is she looking for a change, needing new sunshine? Is it time to resurrect some aspect of her life? Leave the past behind? Or maybe better not?? Maybe she is reaching after something that looks like a new & better life, not being quite ready to handle it?
