My mother told me she had a dream that she had to visit me in jail. She said I was in jail because I wrote bad checks and had been doing it for and the people who I wrote the checks to were tired of not getting their money so they banded together and put me in jail. And my mom said she was old in the dream and she had a walking cane and she was waving it at me telling she had warned me about this before and now I'm in jail wearing a orange jumpsuit.

Palisades,Aww, don't take it personally  It has absolutely nothing to do with you, it is her dream and her own perceptions, and you just happened to be the most comfortable vehicle in delivering the lesson she needed to knOw. i will think about this and get back soon.  Aphrodite IP: Logged |

My feeling is that your mother deeply feels she does not have an active role in your life in teaching you values. I sense she feels that she has no power as a positive influence, and probably at times a simple "character" in your life. I think she senses that you are practicing values from others, and when you deliver them, they are not as "honorable" as she would ideally like them to be, i.e., checks instead of real cash, other people teaching you values by putting you in jail, and her as a weak individual symbolized as elderly and using a cane to demonstrate her need to express some form of influence over you.IP: Logged | |
