I have this recurring dream that I'm moving into this old house. Its a big house that needs a lot of renovation but its really nice. In the dreams I'm showing the house to a friend or relative, recently my mom.But just thought it was wierd because its always the same house, with the same interior and everything. I usually show the den that has brown paneling on the walls the dining room that has two levels and the kitchen that has green paint on the walls with spots of plaster. Any thoughts? IP: Logged |

Hi, Palisade!House always represents you, and it's the fact I've noticed in my dreams-reality and many other as well. If you keep coming back to your old house, I'm definately sure you are trying to solve maybe an old problem, or an emotion you datained behind, in your past. This past could mean past life, but I prefer the fact all the answers you need, you'll find them in present life. Could it be you're trying to accept a part of yourself, since you're showing this house to your mom, and you need her approval? I haven't noticed any unpleasant feelings at this dream, so I believe it wouldn't be hard for you to dig out what you need to find out. Go for it! Maybe you'll find interesting the fact that every once in the while I dream my ex husbands house. This dream, I know it shows me how far did I come with cleaning all the emotions left there and then. IP: Logged |

I agree with Dreamflake here, but it can also be that since the house needs renovation, you yourself might need renovation - maybe refering to your potential? I mean, the house is nice, you're basically satiesfied with yourself, but can get better. And this is maybe what you want to show your mum and your friends? The different rooms have their own significance. The kitchen is often referred to as the "heart" of the house, green is a colour of hope, of optimism - the plaster might refer to scars in the heart that have been repaired. The two levels of the dining room might refer to two levels of nutrition - to your brain and your stomach. Is the den a study? Do you want to show your brain capacity?
