OK, here I am in Bagdad, reporting for my old newspaper (again!). I'm in this hotel room with this star reporter, who in my dream of course is mistakingly similar to me. She's been in Irak since the beginning of the war and now in my dream she seems to be on very familiar and friendly terms with Saddam, who's suddenly there in the room. They chat and laugh intimatly together, like old friends. Saddam's brother, who's just returned from Hongkong, is lying on the floor, sick with the SARS-virus. I'm worried I'll get the virus, too, so I get a shot of antibiotics in my right arm, but I know it's not enough to protect me.

Hmmm ... this will take a bit of thought.

Peculiar dream, Stella.

I absolute agree, Ra! There were things before and after, that was in my usual dream language, and again, I believe, connected to work. But this part I don't get. I must admit that I secretly admire this reporter that showed up in my dream for her achievments and I envy her success. As for the right arm, I've been writing a lot lately and have som pain and I'm afraid to get the "mouse" sickness, or whatever it's called...But still...? Saddam?! And his brother?

Very peculiar, indeed.

The interpretation came to me last night, it's so boring that I don't even bother to write it down here...

Stella, you must tell me! I do not care HOW boring it is!

I look at this dream and simply do not know. The only connections I can make are kind of prophetic in nature, having to do with current world affairs - I am really reaching!

Stella, the interpretation is very simple: you're watching too much tv news. Seriously, all these saddam and sars news. it's enough to drive people nuts!!

I've been totally absorbed in work for a while, and been dreaming about it virtually every night. I've been finishing a novel, and there's so much stress and anxiety involved - all this work, that totally drains me, emotionally, especially...and it might all be for the garbage bin...

During the last Golf war I worked as a foreign reporter and covered the war, not in site, but at the news desk in my old newspaper. So Saddam Hussein and Irak got very familiar to me...Also, I still feel that was a "successful" time in my career, so I guess that made me identify with this succesful reporter in my dream. While Saddam is newspaper writing, his brother to me is fiction writing...Needing to be brought to life - so I get antibiotics in my writing arm. The fact that he comes from Hongkong is probably a symbol of the material I've been working on, brought back from a far away place. It's also been almost dead for a long time, I try to revitalize it..

Well, this morning I posted "Chagall's angel", so please send some prayers to the publisher, make him just LOVE it!!

And Ramzel, you're absolutly right: If I had not watched the news, I'd probably chosen some completly different symbols to tell me the same stuff...
