Topic: Please can some help me with this dream? Dreaming with cats.

Hi,Can someone help me in regards to a dream that I had? A couple of days ago a dreamt with cats. For some reason I have been dreaming almost every night for the past 2 weeks. What I remember is that I was trying to protect my sister and some other child from cats. For some reason in the dream it was like my sister was still very young and the cats were trying to scratch both kids for some reason the cats would not touch me but the cats wanted to scratch or attack the kids. I just thought it was weird because I still remember the dream, and now my cousin from overseas said that she dreamt with me and her that we were both crying. I mean it is just odd that I am dreaming so many things, and cats attacking kids. Can someone help me to interpret this dream?

I've heard somewhere that cats are a significant omen in dreams, but I don't recall what they mean.  ------------------

You know what, when I read cat I immediatly thought of it rhyming with attack. Maybe this dream is not so much about cats, but about beeing attacked? Is there a childish side of you, or a side of you that you carry with you from your childhood that is now beeing attacked and hurt?
Evergreen, that visits here sometimes (and who is my cousin) has had identical and parallell dreams with her sister and steph mum, and I've read other stories about people who are very close who experience the same. So when you tell me that your cousin dreamt that she and you were crying, maybe it's connected to the cat-attack? Do you have to let something from your childhood go and does this hurt and make you cry?
When you dream the same thing for several nights it's definatly a message from your unconscious that needs to get through. IP: Logged |

Hello Muse1!Cats have a variety of meanings, dependant upon the context. They can represent instinctual energies, perhaps "tamed" ones that are therefore close to conscious awareness. They can represent feminine energy, negative or positive. They can represent mystery, independence, stalking or stealthy apsects or energies. There are many possibilities. Is there something or someone in your life you are trying to protect? This could include anything from an actual child to some aspect of your relationship with oyur sister or to some child-like or immature aspect of self that is being threatened. The attacking cat could also symbolize an aspect of yourself that you do not recognize. Is there some situation in which others may view you as being aggressive or "on the attack"? Perhaps a family matter? If this is the meaning, it will take a very open mind to recognize. What else have you been dreaming?  IP: Logged |

Thanks Everyone!!!!For the past 2 weeks I have been going thru a lot of problems at work. I didn’t see the connection for some time until last night. My boss who is a nice person in a way does not know how to deal with problems in a mature and professional way. She is more of a reaction type person who has gotten our department into trouble then and I end up cleaning up her mess. I keep telling her to try to calm down and that is okay to take action but not to react to everything that she needs to think things through. Then I have to deal with another manager because I need his support in order to deal with a problem and from time to time he sexually harasses me. I haven’t even really told me boyfriend because he is not going to like it at all. I was talking to friend about the dreams she is pretty good about analyzing dreams and thinks it is (to make a long story short) work related. I guess that is where my dream came from….Well in any case I am still dreaming from time to time not as bad as before. I am just hoping to have a relaxing weekend…
