Oh, wow.
I just remembered that I had a really odd, incredibly vivid dream last night - although it's fragmented now.
There were a lot of us at some sort of camp; we'd go off and do, well, camp-ish stuff, and then meet back in a large, high-sealinged room at night.
That's all I remember about that.
There was this "councillor"(sp?), a man with a close-in but full beard and brown hair down to his shoulders. I had been having trouble sleeping, and show he showed me this little tree with berries on it.
NOTE: The following takes place in the basement of the house I grew up in, now my mom's house. It's set up so that you descend stairs, and immediately to the right is a small bedroom. If you continue forward, to the left is a room with a sleeper couch (actually just a bed that folds) and a lounge chair. If you walk through that room, there is a small bathroom (just a toilet and sink) off of that room.
So, the small berry tree/bush with what looked like milky-red raspberries was located in a pot in that bathroom. He showed me that if one eats the one that's not quite ripe, you can fall deeply asleep very quickly. He said this was because "they're chock full of melanin".
I showed this to N_w (again, odd dream, he was there) and he took two - one for himself, and one for his girlfriend who was also there (although I didn't see her throughout the dream).
I ate mine, and could very clearly feel the effects of it; I tingled all over and quickly became immobile, laying on the bed/couch. In my dream, that lasted from early-to-mid-evening til early the next morning. Throughout the "night", I was semi-conscious although I knew myself to be deeply asleep. The tingling's what got me; have you ever felt yourself fall asleep? That is, your body goes a good deal b/f your mind? That's the same sensation.
I woke up refreshed and glad for a night's sleep, and found a note on me that said something like:
"Corri's asleep; I and my girlfriend will not be alive when she wakes up.
-N_w"

I panicked (thinking that he killed himself and his girlfriend, or perhaps intentionally "od'd" on the berries, so I ran into the small bedroom (where he was sleeping) and saw him motionless. I shook him, and he woke up.
"I thought you were going to be dead."
"What?"
"What does this note mean?"
"Oh, oh - I just meant that you were sleeping so soundly that you might out-sleep our lives."
I hugged him and left. (Weird dream.) o_O
I remember that I picked some more of the berries b/c two other girls/women wanted some - word had apparently spread. After picking them, I put them into a pouch and saw that I had a whold jam jar of them. (I don't think that it was for me; I think that I just had them.)
The next thing I recall is being at a cliff edge over a river (it looked like
l
l
l__
----l
----l~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We were standing on the edge mid-way down the cliff preparing to climb it. I was recording the list of safety precautions for some reason, saying, "1- This is safety for yada yada yada. 2- Safety line for yada yadda yada..." (and yes, I would go, "yada yada yada").
We began to put on the safety harnesses, tie off the ropes, etc, when I looked down and saw the 2 girls "swimming" in the river below. I knew that they had eaten a berry each earlier, so I knew that what they were trying to do was unsafe. I pointed this out to others, and they looked down, too, to see the two look like they were floating and waving. I thought, "That can't be; they're not just floating - they've drowned."
I dove down (I think) and saw that they were in fact floating motionlessly; I yelled for others and they came down to help. We pulled one girl out easily (she was very skinny - for some reason an extra large-flowered skirt of hers came out, too); but several people had to help w/ the other, aided by the use of planks on the red-stone rocky bank (rocky as in it was rock, not w/ rocks) as she was quite heavy. The first almost immediately came to; last I remember, everyone was trying to recussitate(sp?) the other.
I don't remember much then; there was another meeting, and it was substantive, it's just not coming back.

I also had a dream about some sort of plague; we thought that we had destroyed it while in space (long story), but it was spreading back on earth. I don't remember much, but I do know that it involved driving very fast in a number of cars
I dunno; it was another very long one, though.

Does anyone have any insight into the first?

Hello proxieme!

I am on vacation this week and will look at this in a couple of days.

Are you going somewhere soon? (camp maybe?)

Are you concerned about it at all?

Do you know N_w in waking life?

Nope; not going anywhere at all.
Thanks for taking a look, Ra.

Hello proxieme!

Here are some of my thoughts -

Do you have a restless mind? Or perhaps it would be if some aspect of it were not "sleeping". Your subconscious mind has "put to sleep" (eating the berries) some memory or experience from your childhood (childhood home/downstairs), perhaps late in childhood (early-to-mid evening until next morning) - something that you did/do not understand or misunderstood (dialogue with N_w) and that may be awakening so that yourSelf can be cleansed (bathroom).

This past event has been kept "asleep" through to the present (picked many berries, presumably for the two girls), also indicated by the scene shift from your childhood home to the cliff. It seems that you are preparing to delve into this unconscious material, at least subconsciously, and your mind is taking the necessary "safety precautions" to "rescue" those aspects of self (two girls) that have been submerged within the unconscious (water), perhaps at the root of some sort of "current" (river current?) emotional condition (river water). And it would seem that this is unnoticed by those around you (girls appear to be waving).

As the material is at first acknowledged (first girl), it will perhaps be easy to deal with, or appear to be so, but there is a hint that it may be delicate or fragile (skinny) and there may be more than there appears (extra-large skirt). As more of this unconscious material "comes to the surface", it will be found to carry more weight - the material could be "quite heavy" (second girl), and you may need a bit of help "rescuing" or dealing with it. It could be hard for you (rock) in some way, perhaps emotionally.

Does this strike a chord within? Any of it?

The other dream you mentioned seems to carry the same theme. Equate "space" with your mind, your higher mind, a mental aspect you are less aware of - and equate the Earth with the physical, your physical world. A "plague" (repressed memory/emotional issue/etc.?) in the mind that has "spread" into your physical, aware existence. Or something like that...

What do you think?

Thank you, Ra.

I do, definitely, have a very restless mind, so that part makes sense.
I can't think of what the event(s) referred to may be...but, that could be because it is unconscious material being dealt with at a subconscious level at this point.

I'll be on the lookout.

Perhaps I should look at this from another perspective. I will give it a go!

More questions!

Sometimes dreaming that you are asleep indicates that there is something in waking life that you need or desire, or that there is something you are avoiding.

Is there something you are wishing for?

Is there something you are avoiding? Perhaps of an emotional nature?

Has something new begun in your life?

Do you feel like you need a break/rest from some situation?

Is there some situation, perhaps new, that you do not feel safe/secure in?

Why is your mind restless? What are you thinking about?

Could any of this relate to this site in some way?

I apologize for all of the questions, I am just not sure from what angle to approach this dream, and I would like to try and make some sense of it - definately a learning exercise for me! (thank you for that!)

Just tell me if you want me to cease and desist!

Sorry it took me so long to get back -
I wanted to give it the attn. it deserves, and no time has presented itself yet.

Is there something you are wishing for?

Is there something you are avoiding? Perhaps of an emotional nature?

A few things, always
To address both of those, there is someone that it may be said that I'm wishing for, but that has proven to not be possible - so I've buried that and resumed our friendship (we usu. see each other daily @ school and through work).

Has something new begun in your life?

I've just begun a new job (which seems to be going quite well )

Do you feel like you need a break/rest from some situation?

Is there some situation, perhaps new, that you do not feel safe/secure in?

Bah, life.
Perhaps at the time, school.

Why is your mind restless? What are you thinking about?

My mind's just pretty much always restless -
1st House Uranus, 3rd House Aqua Moon.
I dunno.

Could any of this relate to this site in some way?

I do not think it does.

I apologize for all of the questions, I am just not sure from what angle to approach this dream, and I would like to try and make some sense of it - definately a learning exercise for me! (thank you for that!)

What?!? No apologies! You're helping me immensely
Thank you.
