i had an awful nightmare last night-i was in a cab with my mom, driving along a bridge and i looked up when i saw something out of the corner of my eye and saw a plane moving. i saw it take a 90 degree dip and saw it speeding towards the bridge. i think i was the only one to see it and kept telling the cab driver to "HURRY" and he didn't seemt o understand, but he started to drive fast, but not fast enough, and my mom and i ran out just ion time, but the plane hit and the cab blew up and then my brother and his wife were in it and i didn't know if they were hurt. my mom and i ran and ran, and we were in some mall in NJ and kept running and i remember saying we'd have to leave the cats, but the next thing i knew, we were each carrying one of them and kept riunning...and eventually rested at the end of the mall. two of my out-of-town friends were there to comfort me. my mom wandered off somewhere along the way. and i cried b/c i didn't know what had happened to my brother and I couldn't imagine him being gone.

needless to say, i awoke very shaken up.

i needed to get that out.

What does your brother mean to you? Could he symbolize something like a protector, a teacher, a guiding influece, etc.?

This dream seems to be about transition (bridge), choices (mall), and anxiety or fear of facing these things (plane crash/running) - as well as a fear or anxiety about being without some sort of family influence (mother wandered off/brother gone).

Is this about being on your own in some way?

Am I getting close?
