Hi 1scorp, Well it's a bit quiet here for you, dont worry,it's just because everyone is so genuine that they wont say anything if they dont know how to tackle it. Here's a few thoughts I have,if anyone sees something else or something different, then that's fine,I have almost no experience with dream interpretation. In this dream this man seems to come in and then actually take your place in your bed,as opposed to a lot of dreams where you know that you're interacting with someone, you recognize them as being an entity outside you and the dream unfolds as a story involving you both. Maybe this man is a dimension or a part of yourself.Dont know what conclusion to draw about how your dream seems to be trying to find a ratio between physical attraction and character quality. First he's scratching and turning wild, then later he actually has a ring of fire around him.Perhaps you feel you are ready to access something about you, your mind could of invented this ring of fire to cleanly illustrate that there is a line you wish to cross, the fire is possibly your mind actually drawing out the line to you and actually making it more attractive, saying it's mysterious,it's a challenge. That's the only thoughts I have on your dream, and it's only what I think xx I was a bit confused about the couple of lines you talked about having your eyes open etc,are you talking about still being inside your dream there. You say you 'look crazy to other people',does this mean that you're talking about when you're awake at work etc and you are remembering your dream and it keeps interfering with your everyday life? Mazz, those are excellent thoughts! 1scorp, Has something happened recently in your waking life that may be causing you stress? Has there been some sort of change, or do you forsee some sort of change? This could relate to anything from a relationship to a job. Snakes can also symbolize change/transformation, and the number three can be symbolic of a change or a new pattern of thought/psychological process. Dream symbology aside, you are experiencing an inbetween state of awareness in your "I don't know if I'm awake" dreams - including the attractive man/demon dream. This happens when you are in a deep state of sleep, but part of your mind becomes awake/aware, which is why many of these dreams occur in your bedroom. As you become more aware, you slowly transition from the dream state into consciousness which causes a great deal of confusion. Normally when we sleep our bodies are in a state of dream/sleep paralysis, but sometimes, as in your case, the body is "switched back on" before the dreaming ends and is able to react physically to dream stimulus (such as running out of the room) and sometimes receiving input from both the dream and physical reality, especially if the eyes are open. This can create all sorts of confusion, disorientation, and if someone else witnesses it - comedy! So basically the steps that normally occur in the waking process become somewhat crossed - step C happening before step B, so to speak. Do you sleep in a very dark, or nearly completely dark room? A little bit of light can help to dis-spell this condition. IP: Logged |

Hmmmm 1scorp, could the demons abound cuz you took New Orleans out from under my big nose Actually, I wanted to respond to your snake dream. I have snake dreams too and they are horrid, and I too, leap from bed or quiver and scream under the covers because upon awakening, I still see them. I usually dream of a mass of them squirming around & climbing my bedposts.I do fear snakes tho, but if other people are dreaming about them, there must be a deeper reason. Ra,I didn`t know they symbolized change/transformation. Interesting!! juniperb IP: Logged |

Hi juniperb Snake symbology is quite complex. Transforamtion is simply one of many possible meanings. IP: Logged |

Thanks Ra, is there anything you can pull out of the mass`s I see. It`s usually the same dream and it`s been over the course of 20 years. I`d love to banish the buggers to never-never land I hope I haven`t intruded, I saw the similarities and thought perhaps two snake dreams for the price of one. Thanks for letting me in the discussion!!!! juniperb IP: Logged |

Juni: I'll make you mayor. How 'bout that? You have those dreams where you seem or feel or are (???) awake and still see whatever it was you were dreaming of too?! It's crazy! I'm coming to peek in on this thread as I want to see what's said of your dream. I also had a question. I don't seem to dream often. I've heard that we dream every night (??) If I do I usually don't remember them.

juniperb, no intrusion at all! You are always welcome to join in, and I am glad you have!Let me give your recurring dream some thought ... Why do you fear snakes? Did something happen twenty years ago that really scared you? Did it involve snakes, or do you think they are symbolic? IP: Logged |

Ra, you have such a wonderful way of getting me to think!! No logical reason for the fear. I tended to believe it was one of two things til your question; now I see it could be a third. I give the same credence to all three as I just don`t know No snake has ever harmed me physcially, but emotionally they`ve put me over the edge. 1.My mom and female influences are terrified of snakes. 2. My mom said when she was pg with me, her & dad were berry picking & a milk snake wrapped around his wrist & she went ballistic & had to see a dr.. Prebirth imprint. 3. This one worries me because it means the first 12 years of force fed pentacostal religion stuck in my sub conscious. That is satan being the serpent & would gobble up all little bad boys & girls ( of which I knew I was one of the first that was going to get gobbled ) Of course my folks believed in that faith too. Probably all three, but why would I dream of mass`s instead of a singular demon? I do have dreams of a single one, but usually I can sort that out ie watch my back type of thing. It`s not much help Ra, but any idesa would be appreciated!! juniperb

1scorp, I dream every night. From the mundane to the glorious & ocassional night terror. I do still 'see'( the dramatic things anyhow) even when I`m fully awake. It`s hard to shake sometimes. My other senses stay activated too. I can taste food or scent things that I`ve been dreaming about. The hardest thing to shake is the intense buzzing in my ears from direct contact with spirit or my guides. I love them all dearly, but they need to advise me as how to close the door! I`ve tried all I know, any ideas? Oh, Miz. Mayor will do me real fine juniperb IP: Logged |

Hi juniperb Your "dream" situation seems to consist of a combination of factors. It seems that you frequently experience the condition that I outlined for 1scorp in one of the posts above where your body/senses begin to "awaken" before your subconscious has fully relinquished the dreaming state. As for the snakes, for you they seem to simply represent that which you fear, stemming from the "programming"/influence of your mother and your early religious indoctrination. Perhaps the confusion caused by an out-of-proper-order waking process initiates this subconscious image as an explanation for the feeling of fear. So, I am not sure I would consider this a "dream". It seems to be more of a symbolic expression of a cause of fear. I cannot help but to think of a description by Robert Monroe of a certain "dimension" that we pass through each time we go out-of-body (usually unconsciously!). He describes it as a writhing mass of bodies - people who are "stuck" in a state that is close to this physical world. They apparently are addicted in some way to the physical sensations of this dimension, and collectively have formed this writhing mass of being, trying to create sensation through a sort of closeness of energies, but never really succeeding. They occasionally reach out and try to "grab" those who must pass through on their OBE journeys. I do no justice to Monroe's excellent description and perceptions. Anyway, I thought this might have some relevence as you said you have direct contact with your guides, which naturally occurs in the OBE state (consciously or unconsciously), and thus you probably pass through this mass from time to time. Just a thought! IP: Logged |

Ra, yes! It feels like what I sense & psychically am aware of, but it`s fearful, so I 'see' mass`s of snakes ( instead of writhing energies)to sort of put the fear into a context my sub conscious can identify with. I`ve read of these energies hovering over people who have (in particular) physical addictions. That they`re drawn the the physical need of it. And that if the person is spiritually weak, the energies can actually enter and experience the addictions they`re craving. I`m thinking a snake never got me, so I`m safe there. As an ex smoker, that could have drawn the mass. Or just a fly -by that we all experience on our OBE`S. Anyhow,I`m reading the book!! Thank you so much, it makes perfect sense and k-nowing it, I will make an affirmation nightly to pass thru the mass in love and lite. Them snakes are history!!! juniperb IP: Logged |
