I had a dream this morning that I think has a special significance and though I have figured out a lot about what it was trying to say, I'd love Ra's and anyone else's insight. My brother brought home a beautiful orange-gold bird in a cage and put it in my room. What strikes me here is that I didn't think it cruel at the time. Anyway, that's the end of that until I see the bird flying around my room. So I put it back in the cage and secure it. Then I ask myself why it shouldn't fly around free, so I let it out again. As I see it flying happily around my room, I start to toy with the idea of letting it outdoors, setting it completely free - but I'm worried for its safety so I say maybe later. Suddenly the birdie does this little somersault and sits with his little legs outstretched and turned upwards (like we'd do with our hands if we were saying something like 'I wonder why...) and says Ooh-la-la! (??) I'm amazed for a second and then I say, oh yah, she's a circus birdie! Can't remember anymore. One of the affirmations I have been making recently is 'I communicate honestly with myself, I allow my feelings to talk to me, deal with them in a positive, healthy manner, and let them GO! No repression, no suppression.' I think this dream has something to do with the change taking place. I feel the bird signifies freedom of expression - healthy whole self-expression, the circus is stifling of that self-expression, and I know that gorgeous orange-gold colour symbolises something, just not sure what. Hmmm? Aquamoon IP: Logged |

Aqua, Thats awsome that you can actually put this dream in perspective ! Geez wish I could say the say for mine ! Anyway, I'm not one to figure dreams out, but I am just curious if your brother giving you the bird has a major part in this dream? Has he been helping you to deal with whatever feelings you have?------------------ Love & Light, Melissa IP: Logged |

Hi Melissa,That's a great question because it brought some context to what my brother is doing in the dream - I hadn't stopped to think about that. No, he hasn't exactly been helping deal with my feelings, but I have been worried that he hasn't been dealing with his. He has let a relationship that went sour make him very jaded and re-evaluate his whole value system and everything that he believed in - and not for the better. By the way, I think you just might be one to figure out dreams - give it a try. Nothing beats Scorpio intuition. Aquamoon IP: Logged |

Aquamoon, you understand this dream so well!!The orange-gold colour fits in perfectly with what you have said. Orange is a colour of balance, and of feminine strength. Golden is a colour of divinity, spiritual energies, and alchemically, it is the colour of the final stage of transformation. Perfect! IP: Logged |

Thank you, Ra! I love the meanings of those colours - they give me faith!By the way, did you think it not so hot that the dream ended on the circus note instead of the flying free note? Maybe I'm not quite there yet, ha? Just curious, do more people dream in colour or in black&white? Aquamoon IP: Logged |

The black and white thing is just a myth in my opinion. And I think you have answered your own question about the birdie, after all, you know best! IP: Logged |

Thanks, Ra! I've been experiencing an upsurge of emotoion since last evening, stuff I didn't even know I still felt. I feel so much lighter. Thanks again, your insight means much to me, even if it is only to reinforce what I already know. Aquamoon IP: Logged |
