I'm in my room at my house, fiddling around trying to charge the battery of my laptop up, and someone says there's going to be a party on here.

Next thing i'm aware of, the topography of the place has changed and there's like a huge Gym Hall with a a recess at one end (making it sortof L shaped) and i'm at one end. I walk up to the other end and meet someone i want to be with very much and we talk for a while and drink alot, then as you do we start talking to a couple of other people as well and for some reason i wind up back where i started at the other end of the hall.

This time i go back up and mistake an acquaintance i knew at school for her by tapping him on the shoulder (i told you this dream was off-beat!!) but he ignores me and i go back to my room; somehow the topography of the house is preserved.

When i get there i fiddle with the laptop battery again and notice something odd on my main computer screen - it's playing back a log of something. I get a horrible feeling and look for the person but i can't find her anywhere and feel very, very upset.

The next thing that happens is i'm fiddling around i go to turn on one of my desklamps but its looked like someones' fiddled with it, so i just nudge the bulb with my finger but it fizzles for a second or two and just goes out. I go out into the kitchen to look for a bulb and walk towards the front door and notice there's racks of books everwhere.

I walk into the room adjoining mine (there's a stud wall bisecting what was a larger room)and somehow the room is very large, and has a load of my stuff in it which i get annoyed about someone moving.

Also a door to my room has appeared which i walk through and shut behind me.

I then look around and notice a strange bunch of CD's propped up against my window in paper wallets - the odd thing is they start small and get to normal size, there's about 5-8 of them.

I then go online to try and make myself feel better, after shutting down the log thats still playing back, and find a post by the person that i can't make head nor tail of - its something about rings representing something and read to me a little like an algebra/physics formula.

The only things i could make out were the words "partner - wEvil" and then i look down - and for some reason the formula is written on an arm in front of me in dark brown ink - two arrows pointing out from a line, the left hand one saying "comet" and the right hand one leading to "dreamer"

But I would not call this lucid, unless you were aware that you were dreaming. Vivid perhaps, but not lucid.

Are you working on some sort of problem? I mean, is there something you are trying to figure out, perhaps with your animation?

I will look further at this when I get a chance. There certainly appears to be a message in there!

I look at this dream and just go cross-eyed! You may not dream much, but when you do ... wow!

I began to dissect this thing last night and one message does seem to be recurring ... communication problems and difficulty expressing feelings. But things have not yet clicked together, so I am still working on it.

A few questions:

What kind of your "stuff" was moved into the large room?

What kind of CDs were in the window? Music, computer?

What kind of rings were mentioned in the confusing post? geometric or jewelry?

Who's arm was the formula written upon? Yours, or some ethereal arm?

This dream is very interesting to me.

My stuff, well i cant quite remember but the two most significant objects were two spare computers i have (a non-functional system and an old fileserver i acquired a while back) - now i dont actually use these systems because they're too slow for anything. Other stuff in that room (in reality it contains the sag housemates benchpress & weights paraphenalia and also the house router) was mostly piles of books and loads of papers, all stacked up on top of each other and lines up on shelves. These stacks were untidy but that was more due to the slightly dog-eared nature of its components rather than someone doing a half-hearted job at cleaning up.

the CD's in the window were burnable CD's in paper sleeves, so i'd be inclined to say data CD's if they were around me, however the sleeves were pristine condition so i'd have to say they were probably blanks.

This dream definately has to do with communication problems at the very least. In the first half or more of this dream, every paragraph that you wrote has some sort of symbolism associated with communication of one kind or another. Here is what I mean :

-- The laptop computer could symbolize analysis or communications, therefore trying to charge it indicates a need for energy or power in analysis or communication. In what respect? The scene change could signify the subject ...

-- You are talking with this special someone, drinking. This could indicate a need to relax in some way with this individual, or could suggest avoidance or suppression of feelings. Either way, your communication with her is distracted by the other people. Communication distraction - start over.

-- So you start over, but then there is a recognition mistake and you are ignored. Another communication problem of sorts.

-- Again with the laptop battery - communication. The log display could symbolize a need to review a past situation. And then you look for the girl, but cannot find her - no communication.

-- Next the lamp which fizzles and goes out - this suggests an inability or difficulty expressing feelings, which of course is a type of communication problem.

Within this portion of the dream the act of reviewing is suggested twice - you start over in the hall, and the log on the computer.

It would seem that this communication situation is related to the girl you wish to be with. It seems that perhaps you are having difficulty expressing your feelings to her. Perhaps there is something you need to review about yourself or the situation in order to communicate effectively.

At this point the symbology changes from being communication orientd to something more information/knowledge/understanding oriented. And it is at this point where I have reached somewhat of a mental dead-end! (for now)

There are books in the kitchen, books and papers and old computers in the adjoining room, CDs in the window, and some sort of strange formula/diagram. All of these things are related to knowledge/information/understanding, or a lack thereof!

So, now I am waiting for the pieces to fall together in my mind.

Do you have any thoughts about this formula? Does "comet" mean anything to you?

I keep seeing "comet" as "come to me", and "dreamer" as "re-read me". But I have no idea if this is at all relevant.

Does anyone else out there have any ideas?

When i couldnt find her feelings of isolation and loneliness were predominant in the dream - i was rather upset all the way through it.

The comet/dreamer thing completely threw me, i really dont have a clue what it could mean, although there seemed to be a distinctly nasty feeling that the comet would IMPACT the dreamer, and the connotative emotion was not a pleasant one.

As you seem to be a very busy individual, perhaps the batteries simply indicate a need for more energy in general - or a rest.

The dream does seem to hit upon all of the things you are working on that you mentioned - personal, technical, housing, etc.

As for the girl and the related symbology, it could be that you need to rid yourself of "old programming" (old computers and papers in adjoining room) and "rewrite" the way you deal with her (CDs in window). Perhaps in order to "reach" her (her arm) you must destroy (comet) the "dreamer" aspect of yourself in this situation and actually take some serious action. The ring symbology could relate to commitment and/or completion in this effort (commitment=partner, pending completion= wEvil).

Make any sense?
