Hey, man, it was your idea (and a great one at that) to go to Stone Mountain for the Lindaland reunion. Do you have any other ideas? What else is around Atlanta that would be good to visit? Summer has been very mild thus far. Maybe the trend will continue. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." you and me both Amber! Atlanta is about an 8 hour drive for me...but with my parents being ill, I've cancelled all vacations away from home...I like Stone Mountain...I haven't been there in years! I always like Savannah too...with the cobblestone streets! I don't know much about Atlanta, at least I don't remember much....been a long time since I was there...I did date a guy who lived there..he was a computer techie...wonder what ever happened to him? ...PONDERS... Of course, you will get a copy of Star Notes, Ra (and whoever else shows up)! There will also be another surprise. I went from a 60s haircut to a 70s haircut (feathered back). Way out of style, but I like it. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I have another question: Exactly where is Stone Mountain? ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Is it North Atlanta? ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Hi Randall - Stone Mountain is about 15 miles east, and slightly north, of Atlanta. Very easy to get to. It costs 7$ per car to enter. I have been trying to think of some other places to visit, but I am drawing a blank! I am not exactly sure what you are looking for. I think there is an Egyptian exhibit at Emory at that time. And there is Fernbank Science Center. Of course, there is Six Flags. And let us not forget little five points! I will try to think of some more stuff. IP: Logged |

Thanks, Ra! My original idea was just for one day, but people suggested two or more since they had to fly or drive a long way to get there. We'll do most of the stuff on Saturday, and Sunday will probably be a short day. Happy anniversary! ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Even though I have no idea what sort of event it is y'all are planning, if you are fishing for ideas on places to go, Augusta is a great town. Absolutely beautiful this time of year, has a nice riverwalk, excellent parks, antique shops are top notch... almost wish I still lived there!IP: Logged |
