Bright Blessings Ra ! A co-worker had a dream last night about her daughters cat. She has never liked this cat. In her dream the cat came to her and offered her a shrew, then rolled over and exposed its belly to her. She(the co-worker) is telling me that dreaming of a cat means that a person/people are conspiring against her. Is this what dreaming of a cat really means? On the surface it seems that the cat knows my co-worker doesnt like her and is offering her this shrew as a sign of peace. My co-worker says it would seem so on the surface. But she believes it to mean something entirely different. What do you think? ------------------ Love & Light, Melissa IP: Logged |

I'm not Ra, of course. But I love cats so I had to say...I agree with you! It seems the cat is offering a gift. I've had cats that used to do that for me. Plus.. the cat rolls and exposes her belly which is a sign of trust and submission. of course it could symbolise more than just the cat and not really have much to do with the cat itself. Wych~ Thanks so much for the reply. In speaking with her after your post, she is also a cat lover. It's jut this one cat. In her opinion, she feels like(in her words) "the cat is softening her up to be blindsided."------------------ Love & Light, Melissa IP: Logged |

lol I wonder what it is about that cat that she doesn't like.Well it's possible the dream isn't about that particular cat at all and just represents general cat symbolism. IP: Logged |

Hi Melissa! These may seem like odd questions, but ... Is your co-worker thinking about having another child? Or is there something about her daughter that may be cause for concern at the moment? Has someone in her family, a female, offered her something that she is leery of? Has her daughter, or some other female in the family, been "shrewd" lately? Are there any other details about the dream that she can recall? IP: Logged |

Hi Ra, My co-worker says that none of the above questions apply...hmmmm I honestly think she is stuck with the idea that dreaming of a cat means conspiring against. Any thoughts on that idea?------------------ Love & Light, Melissa IP: Logged |

If she believes that dreaming of a cat means conspiring against, and she believed this before she had the dream, then that is what it probably means. This is part of her personal dream symbology which can differ greatly from the collective archetype. If this is the case, then she should be wary of a suspected "conspirator" bearing gifts. Then again, the would-be conspirator could be making a peace offering, as you said. Only she can determine the truth of it. IP: Logged |
