Hello to everyone from the newbie on the boards. This has been throwing me for a loop for years... For as long as I can remember, I've been having dreams that occur in the same city/town. These are not recurring dreams where the same things happen over and over, just a town. I don't always dream in the same parts of the town, but if asked, I could probably map the town out. I know that if I'm in a dream, and I walk down the street a few blocks and turn right and go a few more blocks, I'll be in a part of the town where I've dreamed before. Does this have to do with some sort of past life I've had? Does anyone else experience this? I sure would appreciate your opinions on this. warm hugz to all LeeIP: Logged |

Hello Lee Two thoughts come to mind. A more traditional/institutional viewpoint could suggest that the city/town is a reflection of your psychological patterns or some other type of life-pattern. Revisiting this town, even with different content, could be your subconsciousness's way of pointing out some specific pattern at work within your life or psychology. Or, it could have to do with some sort of past-life, as you said. What does it FEEL like to you? IP: Logged |

Well, um, hmm... I think I would tend to lean toward the more traditional view. It is more than reasonable to submit to the idea that my mind has constructed an intricate arena for the psychological adventures and bantering of my subconcious. The only thing holding me back from 100% commitment to that idea is the absolute exquisite detail of my dreams. Police, postmen, landscapers... I even get correct change when I buy something in my dreams in this town. The only details I don't recall are liscence plates, street signs, or the name of the town. I suppose my subconcious could be blocking this critical information if it is a peculiar form of past life regression. Since I have conviently argued both sides, have I mentioned that I'm a Libra sun AND moon with Gemini rising? IP: Logged |

I am a Libran as well. It is interesting what you do NOT recall. These are the same types of details that are notorious for their difficulty in perceiving while out-of-body. Hmmm ... IP: Logged |

Oh, I almost forgot... since space/time is relative and all that other "every point in space/time co-exists in the same instant"... if I am having an out of body experience of sorts, is it possible to skip through time during an out of body experience? Or skip to say, an alternate ending, like on a DVD? I can not confirm this has happened, but it certainly has piqued my curiosity since you mentioned out of body. Thank you for your thoughts happy thots and raindrops LeeIP: Logged |

Yes on all counts, Lee. These things are all possible, and indeed practiced by the more adept OBE-ers. IP: Logged |

Jimminy! I have no problem believing that, but it still blows my mind. I think I'll start writing down what goes on in my dreams and try to zero in on what is going on. Groovy. Thanks again for all your thoughts and answers! happy thots and raindrops LeeIP: Logged |
