I just thought it was maybe silly.

Basically, I remember walking towards the terrace in the apartment I used to live in a few years ago and I noticed the windows and the terrace were much larger in the dream. This apartment was very high up. There are three people sitting on the terrace with their backs facing me (they're facing outward); 2 women and 1 man. Both women were vying for the man's attention, rather desperately and I chuckled to myself about it, wondering what was so great about him. So I went outside, sat on the other side of him (both women were on one side of him, I sat on the other). I had brought him some papers to fill out (similar to some new hire paperwork that we have at work). As I sat and waited for him to fill it out, I realized there was something familiar about him-that maybe I knew him. He then started talking to me and just kept gazing, looking straight at me. We talked and talked and it left me with this amazing, intimate, heart-racing feeling. A good feeling that actually stayed with me today.

I also posted that that feeling was very similar to what I used to feel with a particular Gemini some years ago. (we haven't spoken in years) He was someone I would talk for hours with and, this is so unlike me to say, but it felt like he could see right into me with those gazes.

So I erased it b/c it sounds so girlie. lol

Or maybe it has to do with the idea of really getting to know someone again (making them "apply", so to speak??)?

It's nice to have these light-hearted dreams every once in a while. It certainly beats crazy nightmares. lol

There is nothing wrong with a light-hearted dream! And this one does seem to be just that.

But I will tell you, if this is about someone who has "tickled your fancy", there could be a message. You see, our subconscious minds do not miss anything, everything registers. Our waking awareness misses subtle clues and details that are picked up by our subconsciousness. So, the dream could be telling you that this guy is interested, perhaps more than a little.

I was sitting in a small lake/pond that had ugh..how am I going to explain this? An old Taurus friend of mine and I were sitting in the water, which was green hued from the plants all around us, but we somehow knew it was very, very clean. Anyway, he and I are sitting in bathing suits in a bamboo-lined circle in the middle of the pond/lake, just relaxing and having a good time. Behind me was a ledge in the water that really looked like half of a hallway, with a door at the other end (where the shore was). The door and plank were white. Our old Cappy boss was on the other side of the door, and we were happy to see her. (in reality, we're all great friends) Next thing I know, I'm back in the circle in the water and I'm able to get out, and sort of fly...or soar..float..whatever...over the water and i feel myself headed for another close-by part of the pond/lake and i can see the dark silouhettes of eels in the water, just below the surface and i thought i wouldn't be able to stop in time, but i was suprisingly able to pull myself back and went over to my friend and that was the end of the dream. The land/plants surrounding this bit of water were a very, very lush green.

This is a very interesting dream! There are all sorts of symbols relating to unconscious energies becoming conscious (possibly emotions), transition/change, spiritual growth, and there is a magical/mystical/sacred-energy flavour permeating the whole dream.

However, before I go any farther, I would like to have clarification on a few things.

Was there an actual door (open or closed?) or was it more of a door-way?

What plank? Where was the plank located?

So, you were sitting in the circle, and then moved down the "hallway", and then were back in the circle?

At the end, when you "went over to my friend", where was he?

You said, "I thought I wouldn't be able to stop in time" ... in time for what?

How did you feel about the eels?

Was there anything sensual/sexual about this dream?

Yes, there was a plank, or, half of a hall-way, stretching out from the shoreline (which was very close). The door, which was closed at first and later open (though I did not actually see it opening), was at the shoreline. The open end of the hallway was right behind us. (it looked almost like a hallway with one closed end)

By "plank" I meant the hallway that stretched out onto the water. Btw, both hallway and door were white. Quite white.

He was still in the "circle". Now, keep in mind, the bamboo rods were not close together, but they did form a circle around us. It was as though that little circle was "safe."

In time to not come in contact with the eels. I felt myself almost diving towards the scene, looking at the water with the dark silhouettes of eels underneath. But I was able to catch myself, with surprising ease.

Yes, absolutely-regarding myself and others. This isn't something I discuss here as these are often issues I keep private. But yes, that definitely describes my feelings as of late. "Spiritually" is perhaps a poor word for me, but "gaining a greater degree of awareness," definitely.

My notes on this are MANY. I hope I can adequately present my thoughts out of the jumble in my mind without getting completely lost! ... so bear with me, I may skip around a bit.

This dream seems to be about your conscious position relative to your personal unconscious (lake/pond). There is growth and fertility indicated (green hued/plants around) as the background upon which your awareness is expanding from your center (bamboo circle). With your consciousness in a clear, healthy state (water is clean) you are beginning to expand/explore the energies that exist beyond the boundaries of your waking awareness, your "safe circle". It is suggested that you have begun a transition (hall) into a different perspective (door), one of a higher nature, of understanding and enlightenment/awareness (very white), one which connects your awareness to material reality via the energies of your unconscious (from circle in lake to shore). It is suggested that you have the ability to make this transition without loosing connection with your center, your "safe circle" (back into circle).

And this process is dual in nature, for as the white door of actualized, enlightened awareness awaits you on the one side, the shadowy energies (eels) contained within your unconscious await you on the other. These are the darker energies of self, to be discovered along with the light. They scare you because they represent fear itself, your fears, as well as the unknown aspects within. But you have an advantage ...

The new awareness you are gaining is giving you the ability to see these fears/negative/unknown energies from a higher perspective (flying over them). Your elevated consciousness gives you control (surprisingly able to pull back), and you are able to retreat to your "safe circle" at will. This ability has the power to greatly accentuate your growth (very lush green).

There is a very nice balance to this dream, and a realistic one. On the one side we have white/awareness, on the other we have shadowy silhouettes/fears/unknowns, and in the middle we have a circle, which is the perfect symbol of balance. You ventured in both directions, returning to the center each time - balance. And it is realistic because as awareness grows, it is all encompassing, and should grow in both directions - becoming aware of inner and outer, both light and dark - balance.

As for your friends in the dream, I am not certain of their significance. In a very general sense, they are surely amicable reflections of self, lending to the positive energy of the dream. And I cannot help but to notice an astrological/symbolic correlation between your Capricorn friend and the shore - the shore is the place where land and water meet, and a Capricorn is a goat-fish? I know next to nothing about the characteristics or qualities of either Cappys or Bulls, but there could be meaning in whatever they represent along with their placements in the dream. Or it may have nothing to do with the astrological symbols, and instead be about whatever these friends mean to you ... or both ... or neither! What do you think?

Now, this circle ... besides being a symbol of self and a "safe place", it can symbolize a magical/mystical process, especially when it is constructed, and doubly when made of bamboo, which can be a sacred substance, symbolically. And the self-powered flight (as opposed to being on an aircraft or something) is not only a symbol for heightened or elevated awareness, it can also suggest the workings of the spiritual self. All of these things taken together within the context of this dream gives the dream a supernal, mystical, growth oriented, "flavour"

Somebody stop me! I feel as if I could go on and on, spiraling on all of these entwined energies! I suppose time will stop me, as I have run out of it!

Stop you? Why? You're a frenzy of analytical energy and I for one am quite enjoying it! And please, don't worry about skipping around-Gemini rising here -it's a good way to communicate with me.

I thought that perhaps the reason why these two people may have been in the dream is because I spoke with them earlier that day, but I also spoke to some other people. Perhaps it's the "earthiness" about them? I don't know. The guy and I have been close friends for almost 10 years now.

This is a lot to process, and I will take some time to do so. But know this-you are one of the first people to see these changes in me, and it's so refreshing. I will respond, either here or via e-mail (you did say it was ok) as your interpretation and help mean so much to me.

Tomorrow I am treating myself to a day off and an amazing massage/cranialsacral therapy session and maybe it will help me open up a bit.

I have never heard of that work. Can you tell me a bit about it? I think you're right though, I always hear that a "door" is a huge symbol in dreams.

Actually, my Taurus friend never left the water in my dream.

Sorry, but your definition is bit ambigous. You mean your Taurus friend also was attracted by water? You mean while you got out quickly your Taurus friend remained submerged? This is important symbolism so you must explain. This could point to selfish tendencies on your part.
