Hello to all- I'm new here- just joined today. I was/am searching the internet to find out what this type of dream recall I am experienceing is called, or if anyone out there has this happening with them....

About 6 months ago when my husband and I moved to the redwood forest this starting happening to me; where I will be somewhere (anywhere) and all of a sudden a portion of a dream will flicker across my consciousness, for what seems no apparent reason. It's not always (hardly ever) the same dream segment, nor are these recent dreams. Some of these dreams I'm sure I drempt years ago. Most of them I have long forgotten about and they might not even be dreams I focused on for very long in my waking state. I'm usually never in the same place twice when this happens. I could be at a lunch date, or watching T.V. or driving my car...no rhyme or reason when the dream segments flash for me.

It's been happening alot, and not always in the same way. Sometimes it's just a view of something I saw in a dream that pop's into my head for the breifest of moments and then gone. Other times it's more an actual segment of a dream I've had.

Before elaborating on my (very ignorant) thoughts on why all of a sudden this has been happening with me, I wondered if anyone else is familiar??

Many thanks for any imput.

Also, I've been having lots of fun reading past post's. I LOVE those flying dreams. Does anyone else dodge the telephone lines in there flying dreams? I find myself going super fast and then having to zig and zag between telephone wires! Still lots of fun...haven't had one of those in a while....

HI! Welcome!

I've had that happen too. As well as having dreams and thinking in the dream that I've had this dream before. yeah, I just confused myself too.

You're right-flying dreams are fun. I'm usually flying over stairs or not too high off the ground in mine. Wouldn't it be fun if we could just program ourselves to have those dreams on demand?

Anyway, didn't meant to butt in. I'll leave you to the very capable hands of Ra.

Oxychick, please, you are never a "butt in"!

Welcome to LindaLand, beadflorist!

I would really like to know what your thoughts are on this, beadflorist. I doubt they are at all ignorant, and at least as valid a possiblity as mine.

My impressions concern the Earth and her magnetic field, along with all of the vortexes/power points inherent in it. We are electro-magnetic beings ourselves, imprinted with magnetic characteristics particular to our place of birth, or long-time residence. When we move to, or visit, other places on the Earth, there is an effect on our being, to some degree. Everyone is different, and react differently to various global positions - the interplay between our own electro-magnetic "programming", and that of the Earth grid. Perhaps your new location has precipitated this reaction within you, releasing information stored up in your various layers of consciousness.

Just a thought!

Thanks so much for the welcome's. :looking: -good to have found this group.

Oxychick- as Ra said, you're not butting in, as I really did want to see if anyone else had had this experience before- so thanks.

And Ra- Thanks very much for your thoughts on the matter. I have read of these energy grids before- I think that you might be onto something . Maybe I'll pull out my Pleiadian books again and reread those chapters.

I too thought it may possibly have something to do with my location :mountain1: as well, as this only just began happening once we moved. I love the redwood trees and most of them are houndreds of years old- so I thought maybe with their age and all-the energy around me was calling to me to remember things-

As well I thought it might be a combination of the trauma of moving and the financial hardship (VERY STRESSFULL FOR US) of buying our first house :money:, as well as getting familiar with a new area. Maybe my mind is/was searching for images/thoughts of times when I was less stressed? as well as searching for familiarity or any kind. But I'm not sure...I've been REALLY stressed in my life before this and in new situations constantly-but no rapid dream recall untill now..

There is a part of me too that feels that I was destined to live where we are now. Some of the dream fragments I have been remembering are near identicle to my current surroundings-lots of images of forest's and mountain trails and ocean. I kind of feel like its my mind going back and searching the archives for similar fragments to align my current experience with. So I suppose that would account for me remembering these dreams so much later (?). I don't record my dreams, so for a dream to just pop into my head years later seems odd to me....

Does anyone else remember dreams much much later, after not recording them?

I do think you might have hit on it Ra. Because these dreams seem almost compelled out of my memory. Seemingly not from me. Sometimes I feel like it is a soft brush of a dream memory- like the flutter of a butterfly wing lightly dropping the fragment into my memory. Other times its a sudden flash of the dream image that POPS into my consciousness, almost like a tap on the shoulder. this is strange to me, but also really cool too- as often these images are fragments of dreams that I have not thought of or remembered until they are there. Once the image is there I think OH Yeah- I remember that dream! But I usually don't remember the whole dream- just parts of it, or a single image.

Again, many thanks for your feedback. I'll keep ya all posted if I have any revelations in this area. Thanks for letting me put this out there, as I'm still trying to adjust to this. I'm just wondering how long it will last(!). It's been happening so much and for so many months now, if it ever does stop I think I'll miss it :sparkly:. I find I'm not dreaming much these days (that I can remember:asleep:) so these little (old) dream flashes are at least something:grin:

All the best-
BeadFlorist

I knew your thoughts would not be ignorant! What you said makes a great deal of sense, and you said it very well.

Very interesting!

When I read this I knew I had to reply. Sorry it took so long. I am experiencing exactly what you described. It started about five years ago when I moved to Montana. I lived in a valley between two mountain ranges. I felt that Montana was calling my name, so I went. From the minute I arrived, nothing went like I had dreamed.
I have always had a challenging life and this was obviously not going to be a vacation from it. At first I was confused and started to doubt my intuition because I only could see the negative. Now I believe it was a chance to balance some heavy karma I had long ago forgotten.
I agree with you about Ra being on to something with the electromagnetic programming and the energy grids. When I started to remember these things it really tripped me out that I couldn't remember ever having the dream or sometimes I couldn't even remember when I remembered it. It was just there now. I would ask other people if this happened to them, but I could tell even if they were trying to relate, they had no idea what I was talking about.
My consciousness has evolved so much since that time in my life that it just blows my mind sometimes.
I know what you mean about if it were to stop you would miss it. I believe we've opened a door that will only close if we choose to close our mind that anything is possible.
Iwould love to hear more about your experiences. All of my friends think I am so bizarre. It would be nice to be able to have someone who can relate for awhile.

This happens to me often when I camp at Stone Mountain, here in Georgia. The most intense, and emotional, experiences came to me when I visited Chichen Itza, and also while sitting at the base of Mt. Katadin in Maine.

Oh, the memories!
