Again with the vampires! Do you never stop dreaming about them? WHAT do they mean?!! And why is Marian always around when there are vampires?

No doubt there could be an influence from the Hollywood romanticism of them, and their mysterious nature certainly is an attractive force, but when we truly think about what they are or represent ... they are scary, dark, and surrounded by death and misery. I think there is something deeper here, with you.

In your dreams, the vampires could represent that which sucked life out of you, a dark energy relating to some dark experience. As I said before, it could be that this dark experience was somehow twisted, by the "vampiric" activities of others, into something light and "special", thereby causing a confusion in your developing mind, a dichotomous association that was pushed into your subconscious. This experience created a void that you have been attempting to fill ever since, at least subconsciously. This is symbolized in your dreams as YOU being a vampire. True to myth, the "vampires" in the darkness of your past have created one of their own in you.

But you are not evil, not dark, and thus is another part of the dichotomy. You-as-a-dream-vampire represents your searching, your desire to complete yourself, to fill the void, to find life. Perhaps this symbology suggests that you have been trying to find this completion through the aspects/energies of others ... but this only perpetuates your "vampire" aspect, as a vampire never finds life in the light.

Anyway, this is what I am thinking.

This dream could reflect your need for energies from others (you are a vampire/you are worshipped). Perhaps the need is attention, recognition, belonging, or love. The symbology suggests that this need arises from hidden, secret, unaware/subconscious aspects of self (everything is black/wearing black mask).

We get a peek at the goings-on within your subconscious world (basement) and find there symbols that are in opposition, creating a confusion or cross-association - not necessarily healthy - that you are not consciously aware of. Secret knowledge about 'vampires' - a dark, dead, energy - covered over with symbols of life, light, and awareness ... a truly dichotomous combination! It is this combination of opposing energies which has you searching for others like you, someone to share with, to understand. It is this combination of energies that has caused confusion in various areas of your life at various times. From whence did this mixing come?

And of course Marian is there, symbolizing the juxtaposition of light and dark, of spiritual energy and dark, mysterious force.

How do you feel about this? I think you feel resistance ... do you?

Could we be getting close to the source of these light and dark energies that I/we have been talking about for so long? In a way I hope so, in a way I hope not.
