Topic: A short dream ~ Nethphystis ?

half asleep  Was outside but there was this huge dancefloor in a feild. There were bleachers on eiehter side of it. The dance floor was a pearly white. No one was there except me and Marian.. he was standing in the middle of the floor. I went over there and music was playing but he wasn't dancing. he was just crying crying crying. I tried to get him to tell me what was wrongbut he kept saying "Nethphystis" was listening or hiding nearby or something. wot the heck is a Nethphystis? ------------------

i seem to recall that the sister of isis and osiris was named nephys-somehting. she was the wife of set, and the goddess of intuition or something.
did it seem like he was refering to nethphystis as a person or a thing?

Nepthys was the Egyptian goddess.You know, Hopeful used to Lexi curious dream words or phrases, and with very interesting results. Perhaps you should try for a Lexi of that name?  IP: Logged |

Hi Amber!I like LTD's interpretation in the Lexi forum, and the Lexi is very interesting. When I look at the name, all I can see is "NETHPHYSTIS IS THE ENTITY SET". Anyway, I have been looking at this dream for several days, and have written a few notes, but nothing feels right. I cannot seem to put all of my thoughts together ... its that darn Marian! He always does this to me! What I see in the dream is similar to LTD's, but there are differences. In general, the dream seems to suggest that there is an attempt being made at a new beginning, a "new dance" (white dance floor), or a purification or purging of energies. But there is a barrier, a blockage, an impedement of some kind. He says Nethphystis is hiding/listening or something, and this correlates with the symbology of the empty bleachers - being watched by unseen eyes. You know, I almost want to say he desires to connect with you, but cannot ... or perhaps you want to connect with him, but cannot? Then again, he could be symbolic of the spiritual forces with which you desire a stronger connection, but for some reason I just really think that he represents himself in your dreams. Why does he come to you?  I am definately not through investigating him and whatever he is/represents/symbolizes.  IP: Logged |
