she sent this to me in IMs. I should note we are writing a novel together.
so ok now i feel the need to tell you that dream from the other day LOL.. a lot of my dreams the past few days have involved interstates and being on them traveling... a lot of times im not in a vehicle but this time I was. I never saw myself other then my hands and maybe my dress a couple times. I was in a dark purple blue dress and my hands were thin and delicate (very much wishful thinking LOL). But you were dressed in a thin black cotton shirt with an antique looking lacey black skirt that went to your feet. You had short black hair and peircing eyes (something that tells me it was you. Your eyes when you really show them are always so strong and vibrant.) anyway it starts with us talking in a room about writing a book. We're discussing how we want our characters and what we want them to be. You decide that you're character will already be a vampire and now I cannot remember the name but it was a strong and romantic name *growls to self for forgetting that* I do remember my name, it was to be Patience. A name I’ve used before. And I wasn’t to be a vampire just then. There are two men,. Both dark haired and sorta Middle European looking. Both of them vampires, though one wasn't wholely vampire. I cant remember why or what was going on with him that he wasn't completely a vampire. Anyway at the moment we decide on this ... the scene shifts we are in a hall running together. I want to help you, still believing that I am writing (in fact I think a bit later I even have a moment of sitting with a pad trying madly to copy all that is going on). We run outside and there is a dark blue van waiting with the motor running. We jump in and I start to drive. Btw this is all in the day light. That was very specific to me. With one of those dream moments I realize we are no longer alone and the men are there. There is some arguing as i start onto the interstate and we get stuck in traffic. We know that something is behind us, that the police are hunting us all now but there is more. Something else that something is trying to stop. That is all vague to me now unfortunately. But anyway I turn over the driving to the whole vampire guy and he drives as you and the other continue to argue and I try to stop the arguing but can't understand all that is going on. You look at me for a long moment and then finally stop talking. The man then turns to me and i realize now that there was a moment when i did see myself. I saw myself through your eyes as he takes my shoulders and pushes me down to the floor. I see through your eyes that i'm afraid but only because im confused I looked very similar to you, short dark hair and pale skin but my eyes are different... they have... i guess a more vulnerable look, a lost look if that makes sense. He bites me and I am back in my body then. I push him off and know that I've been made a vampire. That’s when I see my abandoned notepad on the floor and I pick it up. The story outline is there and I can read all that we were planning but now I'm even more confused because this was just a story. I grab you and you are crying and I hold your shoulder and point to the pad saying but you don’t understand this was the story and now it’s real. This wasn't supposed to happen until later. You just look at me as if you can read my soul and are sorry and then I say see look you're and point to your name and then point to mine and say see this is my character I'm Patience. Why are you crying? At that moment the other man driving comes into the back and we see the police are behind us. I start to panic and start yelling this is all a story. Stop panicking this is story we'll be ok. The half vampire shakes me and throws me on the floor and tells me in a language that was not English but I understood to stay on the floor. With that he drives us through the road block and past the police. That’s when I woke up and I laid there forever going over the dream in so many details.. very weird as usually i can't do that

What kind of novel? ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Amber, you did not tell me you were writing a novel. That goes a long way towards making some sense out of these vampire dreams! The interstate/traveling dreams reflect your friend's current life direction or pathway. She is "going" somewhere, trying to reach a goal, acheive something. Does she ever reach a destination? When not in a vehicle, how is she traveling? Any information of that nature can provide more specifics, if she feels inclined or curious. As for the main dream ... It seems to be a mixture of story ideas and the progress of the manuscript. It is obvious that your friend has been thinking a great deal about this story - even her dream-self is taking notes! Her consciousness appears to be somewhat split in the dream ... one aspect of her dream-self is experiencing the dream, another aspect is looking at it for ideas, and towards the end confusion arises due to a third split, an aspect which is aware that she is both experiencing and separate from the experience. Amidst the idea-material in the dream, there seem to be indications about how this project is going. The dream begins by suggesting the near completion of deciding the characters of the story. Then there is the transition (running down hallway) from character development to action - what will the characters be doing? There seem to be some general ideas, but details have not really been decided upon (arguing) and there is a stall or block in the creative flow (traffic, abandoned note-pad). Not to worry, though ... the creative energies will "bite" her again, and the temporary blockage will pass (picks up note-pad, drives through road block). Did this dream provide any ideas for your friend? There could be suggestions in there! Does any of this make sense? IP: Logged |

*waves hello* I'm the friend And right now about all I can say is WOW Ra! I'm floored by what you said In answer to your question do I ever reach my destination, not really. Of all the dreams I've had of late I usually am left wandering around somewhere near it or still trying to figure out what is happening. I get distracted constantly through the whole dream (no matter what one it is.) I think you also asked what I'm in when I'm not in a car... nothing actually =p Its like I'm floating or just moving... sometimes walking but usually just moving and I'm not sure how but I know its ok, if that makes sense LOL Thanks for the interpretation though that was just so amazing!! and so right in so many ways I'm just astounded LOL I thought my dreams were relavant to my waking time but that was more then I could have (ha!) dreamed of May IP: Logged |

Well, welcome back, May. No wonder your dream-self was running around taking notes ... you are the writer that gets ideas for stories from dreams, right?! Now the dream makes even more sense! LOL! *** I still have the story you e-mailed me. That was about a year ago? Where does the time go! IP: Logged |
