I had odd, disturbed, fragmented dreams last night, but all incredibly vivid.

Like this one part - there's a group of us climbing up steep, rough stone stairs that are circling around the side of a cliff or mountain. We're all in really good spirits, though. And then I, at the front, looked back to see one guy stop. Beneath him raged the top of a hurricane, the clouds rising to meet us - that's what we were escaping, we were trying to get above it, racing it. I wasn't afraid after the initial jolt; I knew that if we kept going we could easily outrun it. The one guy looked back and said, "No, I've been here before. This is my home, I'm going home." He then let the rising clouds overtake him. The dream's "camera" was behind him and a bit above as this happened. The clouds rose and the wind increased. Something knocked him down; he tumbled down the stairs and then thumped to a stop on a little cobble stone platform that separated groups of stairs, a gnarled and old tree growing slightly off to the right (near the edge) of it. When he landed, his head hit hard, cracking and killing him. His body then immediately melted into the stones. I saw energy flowing from there into the tree, the camera then focusing in on his eyes - now in the midst of the tree - along with many, many other eyes that that tree contained. I got a feeling of malice from this, his eyes looked pleading and trapped (as did all of the others), searching and tortured.

There were very many other equally odd fragments.
Another part had about 1/2 a theatre full of widely varying people looking at what appeared to be a blank screen that dimly reflected them (so that you could see a whisper of the reflection of the whole theatre in it). But they were all watching it. An upper middle-aged man in a suit came in and sat down beside another man very much like himself. That man then gave him a pill to take (with the impression that everyone else had taken it, too). He did, it dissolving both on top of and underneath his tongue. The images on the screen began to change - but just so that those in the seats on the screen had begun to be active, then he looked back and noticed that those in the theatre had begun to become active, too. He then looked around, discovering that he couldn't tell the difference between the screen and the theatre any longer.

In another I was fighting with a girl from my work (who I usu. get along w/ well) for a bag of candy carrots (yeah, I know) that had my husband's name on it. She wanted it b/c she wanted everything, I wanted it because of the name. I said, "I haven't seen my husband in a month - I can only talk to him once a week; just let me have the bag."
"Why don't you pay your *&^&*^% phone bill?"
"It's not that! He's in training and can only call once a week!"
The look of hardness on her face wavered for a moment, and then resolidified. "Likely story."

Gaw, there were many others - they all just disturbed me. I'd rather not think about some of them.

Wow, proxie, there is a lot of emotional and mental stuff revolving around you and your husband, mostly due to the distance between you.

I will give you a few more details as soon as I can.

Thank you, Ra - your aide, as always, is appreciated.

If it's any help, yesterday night I got letters from Jason indicating that he's ill (looks like a nasty case of the flu, compounded by the fact that he can't get a chance to rest since he's in training) and that his morale's really faltering (for the most part b/c he's afraid that he's going to "let us down" - me and the little'un growing - if the sickness continues).
There is, as you probably guessed, a good deal of frustration on my part b/c a) I can't be there to help, or at least be there to "be there" and b) once hearing of his state, I couldn't immediately - or in any sort of a timely way - let him know that nothing that could happen could make me feel that he's "let me down".

And his call last night confirmed that he's still quite sick, and he said that it really hit him that they really are trying to turn them into killers.
I could only say, "Yes, I know, my Love - and that you notice stuff like this is another reason I love you."

part 1) Life may be a rough climb at the moment, but at least you are taking it in stride (in good spirits). However, there are intense emotional energies following close behind (hurricane) which are overtaking either a masculine aspect of self, or someone you know - perhaps your husband (man that falls). Whomever, or whatever, the man represents, this aspect/person feels trapped in a labyrinth (old tree) of malevolence and fear.

part 2) This part has to do with duplicity and internal confliction. Again, the men in the dream represent either an aspect of self, or someone you know (husband?). This aspect/person is presented with two realities which are increasingly difficult to distinguish between. One reality is a shadowy reflection of the other, yet the shadow is becoming more real. Is the shadow the military?

part 3) This one is an obvious reflection of the lack of communication between you and your husband. The girl from work is a reflection of self. She represents the feelings of resentment and suspicion that lie deep within your subconsciousness due to distance and this lack of communication ... quite natural feelings, really. You just want your "sweetie"!!

So, there are three possible ways to look at these dreams ... 1) they could represent aspects of yourself which are having difficulty ... 2) they could represent your fears and concerns about your husband ... 3) they could represent the actual state of your husband.

More than likely there is a combination of these possibilities in play.

What do you think?

In a wierd way, all of it seems head-on.

Re: #1: While I think that Jase knew what he was getting into with the Army, I don't think that he really knew, and I think that the gut knowledge of what it's like has been getting to him - so that accounts for that, in a way. Also, while the "feminine side" of me is flourishing in an unprecedented way, my schooling will have to be, if not put completely on hold, then drastically slowed down with the pregnancy-gonna-be-child (due late April/Early May), so perhaps that "masculine" part of me is feeling cheated and about to be overwhelmed by the feelings that accompany that.
Re: #2: I will have to give this one more thought in order to decide what to say. It may have something to do w/ my fear that the Army will completely change him.
Re: #3: Your explanation seems completely reasonable.

Again, thank you for your help; I will give each of your explanations some more thought.
