Sooo....found out today - he is going to be deployed. Now the question is..will he be gone for 7 months or 13 months? They aren't sure because this Post will not be getting support to fill the lack of positions left when they send the 50 people to N. Iraq.I will post more later...just wanted to give an update. Hey pid  I don't know what else to say.
Everything I know about deployments is secondhand from talking with women I've met - the most Jase and I have had so far is TDY for training and funeral details. There are some on-line resources for spouses of those deployed. If at any time you'd like 'em, just let me know. IP: Logged |

Hi- Your post has made a sensation in the "Astrology" section under "Terrorists just hit my city." On 11/22 a plane intended to be carrying President Bush Senior crashed into Beltway 8 during the height of 6 o'clock morning traffic and blew up. 1) It was Bushes private plane, he used it so regularly he knew the crew personally. 2) According to ground control, there was equipment on board to guide the plane automatically, winds were calm and their runway was clear. The pilot and crew were experienced, each having 19,000 hours of flying experience. 3)They were flying nearly a thousand feet lower than they should have been. The light pole they hit was only 120 feet off the ground! It's just bizzare. 4) No one can say they "didn't know" how low they were flying; because the control tower warned them at 400 feet they were about to crash. They responed by dipping down even lower. They say it'll take a year to "fully investigate." A year??? For some reason only the forgine press is reporting on this. We're all supposed to believe this war is under control. Meanwhile- on the SAME DAY 11/22 in England they intercepted a plot to fly planes into London buildings. Looks like the terrorists had synchronized their watches for some international mayhem! Also- I should tell you I am now banned from the Astrology section because of plane crash post.Inredulous as it is, AstroJunky became jealous and accused me of making an attention grab!!!! She said I was "yelling fire in a crowded room." In my reply (which she has surely yanked by this time) I said : "Somehow I'd don't think you'd be nearly as calm as I am, were chunks of airplane debris hurdling across the freeway you drive on four times a week. Three people are dead here, and all you can focus in is your fear that I might be getting some kind of special attention??? What's WRONG with you, Lady?" ((I suspect her the problem is that she's politically right of center, and my post might make the Bush family look bad.)) IP: Logged |

Actually AJ is just pretty much a nutcase, I've been floating around this board for way longer than people here think I am, and it's pretty obvious at this point. She should probably spend way more time in the Free Astrology Course on here I'm getting sick of her unknowledable answers to everything in astro and then half the threads turning to drama. I'm so glad I've silently decided to leave as I haven't really learned crap from most of the boards on here.IP: Logged |

Leyla, you have not been banned from the Astrology Forum. Disagreements will occur on bulletin boards, especially when we attract so many strong-willed and opinionated people here. We do try to keep political subjects isolated to the GU Forum for just that reason.  ------------------

See, that's just the thing. It wasn't a political post at all. It was a chart of the date/time/location of the plane crash.
