Also wanted to say Hi! to Ra.

For some reason we were in the Science and Industry museum in Chicago at night. And we bought 4 dogs there. Three of them were very small- about the size of a squirrel and were chihuahua-like with stick legs. The fourth was a pug.

We were on our way home at dawn which actually looked more like a brooding storm with emerging sunlight. For some reason we are walking home down the street my sister-in-law lives on. Across from their house is a house for sale.
We go to look at it and it is in the shape of a very large WWII-like plane/1950's car with a roof and house windows. It is metallic gold in color. There are no propellers, there are broken headlights instead. My brother-in-law comes across the street to talk to us, we apparently were bringing my youngest nephew home and we show him the dogs and ask how much the house costs. I went up to the broken headlights and feel disturbed that this has happened to them.
Then we are at home with these four dogs. We are all tired. In real life we have a lab-mix that doesn't get along well with other dogs. In the dream I look at our dog and think maybe it wasn't a good idea to get these other dogs because our dog isn't going to like it. I wake up.

Been dreaming much of the night and sleeping very restlessly for the last week.

Hi Cindi!

You are right, this is a weird one! I read it and just thought "what on Earth is THAT supposed to mean?"!!

There is a strange mixture of symbols in this one which I will no doubt have to look at individually before I can make any sense of it.

Just a quick thought, is there any sort of loyalty or fidelity issue in your life currently? Or perhaps a nagging past situation in this area?

I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Hi again Ra!

You are very intuitive:
"Just a quick thought, is there any sort of loyalty or fidelity issue in your life currently? Or perhaps a nagging past situation in this area?"

The answer is "yes". Nothing bad, just work and home alternately torturing me.

I am not sure about this, so bear with me and tell me if any of it feels right ...

It could be that there is some issue stemming from your past (museum), perhaps having to do with logic, reason, or thinking (?)(science and industry) - or perhaps work - which could be related to feelings of loyalty (dogs). Your foundations (4) are also suggested, whether this be psychological or home related.
It appears that this energy is moving from unawareness/unconsciousness into awareness or a new beginning (from night to dawn), perhaps coupled with some difficult or negative emotions (looks like brooding storm).

This theme kind of repeats itself ...

It could be suggested that some aspect of your past (WWII-like plane/50's car), perhaps the path which you have/had been living (plane/car/house), has caused disturbing feelings. There is something which was previously unseen or that you were unaware of (broken headlights) that is currently entering your awareness (gold in colour). Perhaps you feel disturbed because you had not noticed this before. And again, this could be about feelings of loyalty or fidelity (bringing dogs home).

Are you involved with someone? Could your dog represent your man?

Does any of this make sense?

I know what I have written is a bit rough (at least it feels so to me), and this is usually an indication that I have not completely ascertained the meaning.

What do you think?

-- There is something about the dogs that I am missing. Loyalty and fidelity are "textbook" meanings, so how you feel about dogs can alter this. And the fact that they are little, and four of them, also mean something more than what I have stated.

Thoughts?

Ra,

I don't want to admit this! It makes more sense to me than you'll ever know.

I don't know where to begin. Hmmm, the dogs. I remember feeling very excited about the three little stick leg dogs-like they were a good opportunity for me and I felt like it was the right decision. The pug was the status quo, for lack of any better definition. I knew when I saw my dog that she would be sad for me bringing them home- to take her place? I felt that maybe I made the wrong choice. I feel the pug and my dog are my husband.

Why you ask? No affairs, just a flirtation that has been going on (soccer coach continues)- he is jealous, we have discussed it. I admitted that I am flattered (I am getting ready to turn 40-give me a break ). Although, I am not entirely sure about the coach- little comments and attention being paid to me are unnerving me.

Work, old bosses and new bosses fighting it out for control, backstabbing, etc... Don't particularly like either one, but the lines are being drawn in the sand and this past week I was pushed into choosing a side.

Maybe I am trying to hash this out in the dreams, I don't know. I do know that I feel change in myself, it is happening and I am trying to figure it out. I feel I have to grow now.

I also have had in the last few weeks the sun, mercury, venus and moon transiting my 7th house. And I have neptune there natally. I don't think any of those were helping me .

Does any of this help you?

Yes Cindi, that clarifies much.

I will see if I can add a few more comments, to clarify what I wrote.

Thank you Ra

More weird dreams today, can't remember them all(slept all day, just came off of 4 night shifts)

Just snippets: pulling what I thought was a cotton ball out of the base of a toilet became more cotton and dirty paper towels- curiously I stopped, didn't want to do it anymore. Then wandering through what was a condo that I keep finding more hidden rooms in(this is the second time I have had a variation of this dream).

Another dream, switching sheets from one bed to another in a hotel in a hurry and the mattress on the one bed was on the floor torn in half, except it was a royal blue shiny vinyl mattress, smaller than normal. It was torn on a sort of diagonal
and I couldn't find the other half at first and when I did I didn't know how I was going to put the sheets on.

Even weirder, the people that I didn't know in this dream turned into the cast from the Drew Carey show.

I am going to Borders books tomorrow to find a book on dream interpretations, any suggestions?

I think I slept too much Cindi

Hi Cindi

I am looking at these snippets ...

As for an interpretation book ... there are so many, all I can say is to look for one that is not based on superstition. For instance, if it says "dreaming of fish means someone is pregnant" ... keep looking.

I suppose there is not much to clarify about the first dream. By looking at my interpretation and comparing it with what you have explained, most of it does make sense. I do have a couple of questions ...

Did you choose the "new bosses" side?

And there is something I am missing about the WWII plane/50's car - house. I said it could be "some aspect of your past", which only feels partially correct - is there someone involved in thse various situations that could be associated with this symbol? I almost feel as if it is an older gentleman or something.

There is some aspect of your emotional nature which you want to express, but cannot.

Then wandering through what was a condo that I keep finding more hidden rooms in(this is the second time I have had a variation of this dream).

These are hidden aspects of self ... what is in these rooms? What kind of rooms are they?

Another dream, switching sheets from one bed to another in a hotel in a hurry and the mattress on the one bed was on the floor torn in half, except it was a royal blue shiny vinyl mattress, smaller than normal. It was torn on a sort of diagonal

Even weirder, the people that I didn't know in this dream turned into the cast from the Drew Carey show.

This has to do with some sort of transition (hotel) and your attempt to "switch" sides, perhaps "covering up" something in the process, perhaps emotional energies (blue). It is suggested that this concerns an aspect of your life which is "torn", perhaps your work situation (Drew Carey show?) or your home life, or both.

Hi Ra ,

Hope you had a good turkey day.

I actually ended up in a loose alliance with the old boss, she is really no ones ally, just uses and discards when needed, but that is another story.

"And there is something I am missing about the WWII plane/50's car - house. I said it could be "some aspect of your past", which only feels partially correct - is there someone involved in thse various situations that could be associated with this symbol? This I don't know?!

" These are hidden aspects of self ... what is in these rooms? What kind of rooms are they?"

They are all bedrooms. Cluttered with things, and dusty looking.

"This has to do with some sort of transition (hotel) and your attempt to "switch" sides, perhaps "covering up" something in the process, perhaps emotional energies (blue). It is suggested that this concerns an aspect of your life which is "torn", perhaps your work situation (Drew Carey show?) or your home life, or both."

Yes, that pretty accurately describes me right now. These dreams are me somehow reliving reality-very bizarrely(is that a word?).

I bought a book on dreams, about how the metaphors explain things, quite interesting.

For some reason I am still stopping dreams. I am playing games with myself now, I have tried to have the "black dream" it won't happen. It is manifesting itself differently now, and my dream mind knows it.

I am freaking myself out now

Cindi
