Hi Ra,

I thank you sooo much for all of your time , but I have another weird one!
I seem to remember these long, bizarre dreams in great detail, is there a reason for that?

Another long and complex dream that seemed to go from present, to past , to future.

I am leaving part of the beginning out.
I started at work (present), Went on a break playing(in a quote from the dream), "old timer games" floor hockey and volleyball in my grade school gym complete with gym teacher (past). And ended up in what I felt like was the future.

Two things I'd like to ask about.

I was in this flying army-like jeep with some people I knew, and some I didn't. We were on our way back to work, I "felt" it was the future. We flew through beautiful rolling green hills in the late afternoon. The driver "Bob" wanted to show us something. He flew to this almost luminescent light tan building approx. 8 stories tall, in a cylindrical shape. We came in through an open door at the base and meandered thru the floors like it was a car garage. We weaved in and out of open sides. The sides would look closed as we went around and then they would look open to the ouside. I can't describe the open sides, they were like something I have never seen, but I "knew" that shape in the dream. The ride was very smooth and I felt quite serene. It was quiet with a few whispers here and there. The inside had some sort of ambient lighting. I had the feeling of being inside a video game almost. Bob saw someone he knew outside who looked to be a scientist. Bob waved to him and he waved back, but then seemed to ignore us and go hurriedly into the building.
Then without warning the sides of the building started to fold up and became solid, we were not to leave, it was like the building came "alive"(it wasn't a mechanical movement, more like it knew) but somehow I had the feeling "they" were going to kill us. Bob screamed "we have to get out of here". We then flew at a high speed straight up the center of the cylinder and there was an opening at the top. The momentum made me and a girl grab the sides and I was clawing at the side trying to get a hold on the end, I was afraid. Everyone else had been flung back toward the driver. We shot out the top of the building but the jeep could no longer fly. Bob yelled to open the parachutes. I tried and one little white piece of tissue paper opened and collapsed and I thought this won't work! Bob yelled again to open the other one and it collapsed. We were falling now. I grabbed the flaps on the side to form a parachute. The girl on the other side did the same and we floated back safely to the ground.
We then walked up toward a brick building that looked like a college.

Next thing I know I am getting out of the elevator at work, but it is completely different. It is under renovation, the walls are half painted a bright lime green color, and the floors are flouresent blue. Walls are in different places. I see two people I know and I "know" it is being reconstructed and talk to them about it. I lean my Left hand up against the wall and one of my coworkers says "you are bleeding" and points to the LEFT hand. I look at the wall and there is blood there. I look at my RIGHT hand and there is a quarter size bug on the pinky side that looks like a beetle, it is brightly striped orange and yellow. Its legs have sharp pointy claws at the ends, and a few of the legs are missing. My right hand hurts terribly now and I look at it. There is a cut across the entire palm with two legs sticking out of it, with a liitle blood. My coworker pulls one out-it is excruciatingly painful. I pull out the second one and the cut is now length wise in the LEFT hand(the right feels the pain).
I look at it knowing I am going to see tissue and blood, but don't. I see my whole palm open and layers of cardboard inside it with various wires sticking out between them. I am puzzled, thinking that all of these wires don't look like they are put together right, they are all cut in pieces. Then I try to touch two wires together to see if I can get the hand to work. The right hand still vaguely hurts. I think this is going to be painful but it isn't. I am confused, I am looking at the hand and think that when I go home maybe I can fix it. I look at it again and now there it a thin stip of skin running through the center of this open hole. (I can't describe this, it looks to be the shape of a cats iris)

I woke up because the phone rang. I tried to will myself back into this dream to see what happened, but couldn't.

This one was really weird!

Help! Cindi

One more thing.....

During that dream I never physically moved.

I fell asleep flat on my back with my left hand on my chest and woke up 2hrs. later in the same position. My left hand and forearm had that tingling "fell asleep" feeling and I had to stretch it out, it hurt.

Hand pain in the dream, but wrong hand!?

That is a strange one!

I have not had time to really get into it yet, but it appears that this dream could have to do with work, do you think?

There are obvious correlations between the "renovations" at work in your dream and the reality of the changes taking place there. There also seem to be correlations between the "ups and downs" in the first part of the dream and what you may be experiencing in waking life. Of course, this is an oversimplification of the symbology in the dream, but perhaps accurate in general.

Do you feel a lack of control at work, at least at times? If so, does this concern you? Is there something threatening about work?

I will have a closer look as soon as possible.

Hi Cindi

The first part suggests that you may be feeling like a student at work, perhaps including performance anxieties and other insecurities that most of us felt in school at some point, as well as competition and "game playing".

I am finding it difficult to explain my thoughts on the second part, so bear with me. Again, this has to do with work and the jumbled energies surrounding it. It seems that you are looking for a higher perspective from which to view the goings on there (flying) but your view/perspective is not entirely in your hands (you are not driving) - in other words, you can only see that which is presented to you by others. It seems pleasant enough at first, but then you suddenly feel trapped and threatened. There could be issues of control here, and you are feeling a lack of it, but are inevitably forced to do what you can to save yourself (parachute), perhaps with a bit of help. It is suggested that these up and down energies, and your handling of them, constitute a lesson or learning experience (college). From "grade school" to "college" perhaps?

The next part seems to reflect changes that are occurring at work (renovations), and perhaps a new awareness you have gained about them (bright, flourescent colours). This seems to follow rather smoothly from the previous segment - have you learned or are you learning something? Now, this hand symbology probably reflects the feminine (left) and masculine (right) energies at work within you and how they affect one another, as well as how they connect with your outer world (hands) through communication, interaction, expression, etc. The notes I have written on this right/left symbology are far too long, complex, and absolutely confusing, so I think it would be better to start with some questions at this point.

Has something of your feminine nature been "injured"? Feelings, intuition, nurturing, passiveness?
Or could it be that you are not fully connecting with one of these feminine attributes, and perhaps should?

Has something of your masculine nature been "injured"? Action, thinking/logic, protectiveness/security, aggressiveness?

Have you acted in some way and ignored your feelings about it?

Besides the obvious conections with work, I cannot help but to notice a certain sexual undertone in some of the symbols. (possibly, not necessarily!) If this be true, then difficulties or stresses in this area could also be hinted at.

There are so many ways to look at this dream, and so many ways to connect the various elements! Change, and how you handle it, seems to be a major theme ... change from work to school, building changes, changing hands. And energy seems to be another ... from work to play, from serene to threat, from ascending to descending, from left to right.

I am going to need you help with this!

Hi Ra,

It has been one of those kind of weeks....

I wish I could explain everything that is going on at work, the problem is that it changes everyday! I work in a hospital to begin with, day to day events are never the same, this I can handle-or rather I thrive on it.

Probably what is affecting me most, is that I was never one to play "politics" with anyone. I would normally back away, making me look like I didn't care and there for left out of everything, personally and professionally.

Emotionally, I am becoming more assertive and willing to stick my neck out more, although I am struggling, it is happening. My boss played "politics" with me recently-I had to choose a side, and I did, which is uncharacteristic for me. Subsequently, I am increasingly losing respect for her. It is a "learning" process for me.

Perfect interpretation:
"It seems that you are looking for a higher perspective from which to view the goings on there (flying) but your view/perspective is not entirely in your hands (you are not driving) - in other words, you can only see that which is presented to you by others. "

"Has something of your feminine nature been "injured"? Feelings, intuition, nurturing, passiveness?
Or could it be that you are not fully connecting with one of these feminine attributes, and perhaps should?"

I think that I am trying to find them, I can't find a path that feels right, yet.

"Has something of your masculine nature been "injured"? Action, thinking/logic, protectiveness/security, aggressiveness?"

I am trying to "give up" being defensive and trying to be proactive instead. I have to let the immature reactionary me go, and she won't leave!

Oh, boy, sexual frustration, yes. That is an issue that I keep pushing into the background.

Yeah, I feel like I am at odds with myself, the logical me doesn't want to give in to the truly emotional me. Hmmm.....have to think about that.

Okay, this seems a bit more clear now.

Your feminine attributes (left hand) are "up against the wall" - there is a loss of energy in this area (bleeding), perhaps due to overactive masculine attributes (right hand) which have caused you distress/discomfort (pain in right hand). With a little care and attention (pull legs out of right) the "damaged", or negative/unbalanced masculine energies can be healed/balanced , shifting your focus to the feminine energies, which have been disconnected and are in need of repair (mechanical left hand).

... and it does not surprise me that you say you are "frustrated".
