What do animals and pets dream? All the dogs and cats I've ever had, make noises in their sleep, and shake and tremble in their sleep. Do they have dreams like we do? Curious. IP: Logged |

There is no doubt that my dogs dream! They will bark, whine, and move their legs as if trying to run. I have no clue what is going on in their dream world, but they are obviously dreaming! Hmmm ... I suppose this calls attention to other questions. If dreaming is activity of our subconscious minds, does this mean that my dogs have a subconscious, and/or a mind? And if Mind is sort of a function of Soul or Spirit ...? Hmmm ... You have me thinking, Nephthys! IP: Logged |

What do you mean do dogs have a subconscious or a mind?!?! What kind of question is that? OF COURSE they do. And they do have a Soul or a Spirit. The animals we have in this life are the same Souls of the animals we've had in past lives. That's why we have the *connection* we do with each one. Didn't you see my post about animal/pet ghosts? My neighbor also felt her dog in her kitchen following her around after he was put to sleep. Anyhow still curious to learn more about their dreams. IP: Logged |

Dogs not only dream, but are capable of entering other peoples' dreams. I know this because once, I was sleeping over at a friends' house. I was having a nightmare about a horrible monster, then suddenly I dreamt that my friends' dog was chasing the evil thing away. I woke up and Baja (the dog's name) was standing over me, looking strong and regal, as though he was guarding me. When he saw that I was awake, he went back to sleep. IP: Logged |

Spiritua, that has happened to me as well with a beloved pet passed on. I k-now my dogs dream of running squirrals When they`re dreaming & I say squirral, they wake up & jump to attention No other word does it for them. juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |
