I dreamt my Dad and I were standing outside somewhere. But it was a closed view of us - I couldn't see what was happening around us. He had put 5 or so eggs in a large white bowl and they were partially cooked - not runny. But, the white of the egg was a cordial green. I tried to explain to my Dad that they were rotten, but he insisted he wanted to leave them in the bowl. I could see any disagreement on this was futile as he was beginning to get upset. It seemed to be important to him so I dropped the conversation and just said, "Okay".

Any insight into this dream would be much appreciated.

I am sorry to hear about your father.

Several things come to mind. Usually, both eggs and the colour green are positive symbols, but in this case it does not seem so. The dream reflects his condition, or at least your perception of it. His "auric egg", the colour of his aura, is green - a sickly green. You are both aware of it (outside) but he does not want to deal with it.

On the brighter side, however, there could be suggestions of hope. The eggs are only partially cooked - he is not completely "set" in this path, yet. The bowl is white - he can be healed, there is hope for a new beginning, for purification.

The bowl and the eggs are also symbols for Self, suggesting that the conflict is within, and from within the healing must occur.

I have no practical advice for how you can deal with this, or help him in this (if it is even possible for you), but I most certainly can kep you in my thoughts - at the least.
