So, I am telling Ken about this dream...and he laughs and walks out of my office..then walks right back and says "you know something Amanda? Last night I dreamt that there was an island that I had to go to, and I had a boat that was going to take me over to it, but I couldn't go until I mowed the grass...so I was up in the middle of the night, it was dark, and I was mowing my lawn.

I apologize for laughing, but soooo many odd things happen to you!! But I am sure you know that!

Well, there is certainly meaning, and it is on the tip of my tounge, but I just cannot think anymore tonight. I will have another look tomorrow.

And I told Ken about the dream the morning after, which was the morning after he dreamed about mowing grass too....so, we dreamed it on the same night and told each other the very next morning...it was the first thing we said to each other at work. So, we dreamed on March 2nd and told each other on March 3rd.

Hey, and you know, back in September is when Odell was so sick, and I was out of work then caring for him...

The symbols seem to be saying that it was a time when you were working very hard to tend to your own personal growth (mowing grass) as well as assisting your dad ... or that helping your dad/family was a lesson/learning experience (high school) in your personal growth. It was a time when things were beginning to get out of control (tall grass), and you had to work very hard to retain any semblance of balance (2). It is suggested that you were helping your dad with his health situation (excercise) as well as his "path", which was cyclic in nature (track) ... the life and death cycle. As a side note, green is also alchemically related to the 2nd stage in transformation - which indicates, to me, that your healing process is underway.

Ken's dream is a bit different. On the most surface of levels, it probably reflects his desire to "get away", but before he can there is work he must finish. There is a possible deeper level to this dream which could revolve around emotional energies and his need for isolation (island), and a situation in which he feels he is working "in the dark", or perhaps he is working on something secretive.

Now, why the two of you dreamt of cutting grass on the same night, I do not know. Perhaps there is something that both of you are working on together? Definately curious ...

but how odd that I dreamt a dream about my boss, a file and explaining absences, since I had to give them a letter on December 17th doing just that....

... and 9 months afterwards (gestation period). If we ever get the time, we should look up the other dreams-come-true that you have posted here and count the time between dream and event ... just out of curiosity. Amazing to me, Amanda. Time after time you have done this, and it is so difficult for me, if not impossible, to determine which ones are precognitive. Can you tell the difference? Do you get a feeling if one of your dreams may be a premonition?

The grass ...

I think, for you, that the grass is both an obstacle, and something that needs/needed tending to ... which you did. I also think the whole feeling is that you had a good excuse, you had evidence (a witness) which was the "key" to resolving the situation. So, maybe the dream is saying you have the evidence (your record) ... and that's all you need. How can HR argue with vacation and paid personal time? You shouldn't have a problem, right? So the grass is related to work, and hopefully to growth/fertility.

Perhaps Ken is tending to a situation (possibly your situation) that he really doesn't want to?

Interesting stuff.

I have done some research on the length of time for precognitive dreams, and the time varies, although, this dream took the shortest amount of time, than any of the other ones, to surface into reality. The longest time has been 2 years. I also had a dream that involved several season changes...which I interpreted as length of time, there were 5 season changes in that particular dream...it began in the fall, then went to winter, skipped to summer, then fall and winter again, and each time I with the same person, a person that I believe to be my soul mate, and he was with me throughout the whole dream.

It would be interesting to see what the other dreams here have turned out...that will be my homework...I'll look into that...

Why do you think this happens to me? I mean, I really have no idea when I wake up what is going to cultivate into real life and what is going to sit on the dream shelf to get dusty...I wish there was a way for me to know the difference, but at this point in my dreamlife, I don't...

all i can remember is being in a casket..and i knew i was "dead" but i wasn't dead..like i was looking at myself...someone, a man, hovered over my head and he was speaking to me in hushed whispers..he had dark hair..he began to move his hands over my head..and then, i could understand him, he was telling me to open my eyes, and to open my mouth..he was saying this over and over..for me to open my mouth...i watched myself, trying to open my mouth...finally it began to open a bit, and he held what appeared to be a sponge over my mouth..he began to squeeze it slowly and water trickled out..or some kind of liquid and as it dripped into my mouth, i became..undead..

it was VERY freaky...to say the least..
