Hello everyone! I am so glad that this site is back!
My question concerns a dream that I had quite some time ago. I believe I understand the majority of it, but I need to make a connection to something.
The dream starts with me looking out of my window and seeing a dark stormy sky. A tornado appears and starts making its way toward my home. I am frantically running through the house looking for my cats and my fiancee and things that are meaningful to us. The tornado starts tearing our home to pieces and scattering things everywhere... a total disaster. It then skips to me being outside, packing our things into my car and getting ready to leave. I then look across the street to find that my orange cat is sitting there... So I go over to get him. As I get closer to my cat, it starts to change into an orange dog ( golden retriever I think ). This dog is strange because it has almost human-like eyes and they look so kind and wise. As I am looking at him, the sun starts to shine through the clouds. I look back to my house and the sun is shining brightly on it, and it is back to normal with no damage at all. The dog then smiles and says, "Hello, I am Amun." The light gets brighter and then I wake up.
The way I interpreted it was that everything would be alright, despite hard times. And we were in quite a financial struggle with my fiancee being laid off for nearly five months. The part I was wondering about is when he announced that his name was Amun. Ever since I was a child, I have felt a connection to Egypt... a strong one. I had read a lot about Isis and Osiris, but had not ever researched, or at the time, even remembered Amun. Ever since this dream, I have been reading about the Egyptians again. I feel that I need to figure something out about myself that is somehow connected to a past life there. I ended up picking the name Sennuwy because in looking at some pictures in a book I borrowed from my library, I saw a statue of this woman... and she looks soooooooo familiar. Does anyone have any words of wisdom? Any advice or suggestions that would help me dig further? Thank you very much for your time!

Love to all,
Sennuwy

Welcome to LindaLand Sennuwy

That is quite an interesting dream. Emotional upheavals (tornado) threatening the home life.

As for Amun, aka Amon or Amen, he is the same as Amon-Ra. Amun means the "Hidden God". The symbolism in your dream accompanies well this spirit guide who calls itself "the hidden one", as Ra is the Sun god (sun shines through clouds), and therefore associated with gold (golden retriever) and light (light gets brighter). He was definately bringing you a message of "light."

Not exactly words of wisdom, but at least some information. All I can say is keep searching.

Thank you everyone! I'm going to keep searching as best I can.

For those of you who have an interest in Egypt and reincarnation, I found something in a book I read recently that I think you might like. Must've been one of those books I was supposed to pick up! The book is called "The Curse of the Pharaohs Vol.I", by Yves Naud, 1977. It's a very small book, with a bright teal cover... with a lot of interesting things! Here is a section, quoted on page 168, of the papyrus of Anana... who was chief scribe of the pharaoh Sethi II....
" See, is it not written on this scroll? Read, you who will discover it in future ages, if your gods have given you the power to read. Read, children of the future and learn the secrets of the past which are so distant to you and yet, in reality, so near.
Men do not live once in order to vanish forever. They live several lives in different places, but not always in this world. And between each life, there is a veil of shadows.
The doors will finally open, and we shall see all the places where our feet have trod since the dawn of time.
Our religion teaches us that we live for eternity. Thus, since eternity has no end, it cannot have a beginning. It is a circle. Thus if the one is true, namely, that we live eternally, the other must be, namely, that we have always lived.
In the eyes of men, God has many faces and each swears he has seen the true and only God. Yet it is not so, for all these faces are of God.
Our Ka, who is our spiritual ego, reveals them to us in different ways. By drawing on the bottomless well of wisdom which is hidden in the essence of every man, we perceive grains of truth which give those of us with knowledge the power to perform marvelous things."

What do you think about this? Neat huh?
Oh! Before I go... Does anyone know any good websites or places where I might be able to get in depth information about Sennuwy? I have searched and searched... and all I can find is a picutre of her statue with a few brief words. She is from the twelfth dynasty... when Amun became the central God of Egypt, and was the wife of a provincial governor. If anyone knows where I can write for further information, please let me know! I appreciate all your input, and thank you once again! Take care everyone!

Love to all,
Sennuwy
