Hi Ra we have never met but i have been reading your interpretations.
I have night mares about snakes and spiders they wake me up and seem so real i have to throw all the covers off the bed to make sure there are really no spiders or snakes(used to just go back to sleep but once i really was bit by a brown recluse in my bed)
This is very annoing to me and was a reall annoyance to both my ex husbands. Is there a way to fix it?

Also i had a dream that i was moving back to Oregon( where i was happy) and i woke up standing on my bed unscrewing the cover to my light. I always talk in my sleep but have never sleep walked before.funny thing is my light burned out the next day. I guess what i am asking is what does changing a lightbulb have to do with Oregon and happieness. I was really ****** about waking up i was so happy in my dream.

What a coincidence! I was about to post that I dreamt of holding a snake. But I was not afraid, I kind of enjoyed holding the snake as it turned into different colors, then I saw my old crush, and we started hitting it off as friends.

I'm sorry Lovely Libra as it is irrelevent to your troubles, but I felt better posting here then starting a new topic. Your dream is simply a fear dream, and you need to learn to counterattack that. The best way to stop having these dreams is to affirm your subconscious by using affirmations like, "I'm not afraid of snakes, and I will stop having these dreams." Keep repeating that until you go to sleep is one example. Use affirmations and meditation also buy a dream catcher and learn a few prayers to end your nightmares.

All I can think about your dream, lovelylibra, is that snakes are supposedly evil(going back to Biblical times)and that spiders are deceptive and catch you in thier webs unaware.
Maybe snakes and spiders somehow all relate to Oregon.
Just my 2 cents.
Love MD.

Maybee they have something to do with Oregon but i have been having these dreams my whole life even b-4 i moved to or from Oregon.Have been dreaming these dreams since i could remember. Never started throwing the covers till i was actually bitten by the brown recluse. Had a dream about a spider the night it happened and as per usual went back to sleep. I always feel really foolish I mean i am an adult now, come on!! I was 11 when the recluse bit.( do you know how they treat recluse bites? It's really quite grusem. i wantched the whole time, lol my own blood facinates me{ohh pretty!!!}) You would think a little spider dream could be dealt with. with the snake dreams it seems so real in the instand i am waking i actually imagine i feel the weight of the snake on me. I must be seriously weird. ah well.

Hello lovely libra, welcome to LindaLand.

StarLover and moondreamer make good points. Fear does seem to be the issue, but it is difficult to tell. How do you feel about spiders and snakes in waking life?

If you have a general fear of them, then the dreams are probably initiated by some sort of waking life stress. When did you have the last nightmare?

As for changing the lightbulb, I really do not know. If that was a dream symbol, I could offer a suggestion. But since this was an actual action, .

StarLover,

Your dream has the feeling of kundalini energies. The changing colours could indicate a change in energy levels, or a change of focus of your energy centers, or chakras.

From love/crush to friendship? Does this correlate with any waking life situation or thoughts?

Hello, lovely!!!
Perhaps the solution lies in your subconscious mind. You were actually attacked, in the flesh, by a *ahem* spider in your bed...
Well, naturally, that is the sort of traumatic event that stays in your mind... You are safe, sleeping, being at peace when something uninvited violates you and disturbs you to an extreme level.. not only with disturbance, but with physical pain!! What an experience to go through.. and at eleven.. I don't know what it is about that age, but it seems to be the 'tweens.. the formative years when you make more 'adult' observations, yet still have the trusting innocence of a child.
I am thinking regarding this.. when you feel tense about something, and are at a relaxed state, this traumatic memory will come back, to keep you at guard.. your unconscious mind triggering this reaction, in actually throwing the covers back. I mean, it happened once, so it is reasonable and real to check to see that there is nothing there. Our body can have cell memories, our mind can have emotional and logical memories.... Go ahead and throw back those covers... assure yourself there is nothing there, try to spread more healing light to the areas that still hold on to this memory, and you will as you learn and distance yourself from it, I have total faith in the protectiveness and self-preservation inherent within ourselves.
The Oregon dream? Enjoy it.. i have dreams about revisiting certain eras or scenes, maybe instead of needing to move, or feeling the urge, you can examine what it was about that time in your life that gave you such wonderful feelings, and manifest them where you are now, or at least elements of them..... Examine your memories for more clues, and adapt within the context of now.. And Bloody well ENJOY them!!!!!!!

Hi Ra,

In my dream I was sitting in the bleachers of a weird stadium watching what looked like a basketball mixed with a football game. I remember thinking about the strange crush I have with a professional football player and I was watching to see if I could find him.

All of a sudden there was this vender, you know those venders that walk around giving out hot dogs, but instead of hot dogs it was snakes. Nobody was getting one, and somehow I got the urge to raise my hand, and grab a snake to hold it. Then, as I looked at it, I saw it was white but its stripes changed colors. It started to transform because it wasn't looking like a snake anymore. The snake was gentle by the way.

Then I turned around and saw my old crush sitting behind me with some of his friends. I think he came up to me and we started talking, and it really felt like it was turning into a friendship. Then the last thing I remember we were talking one on one, and we were slowly turning into one of those romance friendships. He was talking about his life, and I really got a feel for him, I met his family and saw where he lived. Then I had the urge to sleep with him, but the dream ended.

Now in waking life, I had a crush on this boy for years and years, I found this site while I thought I was inlove with him, but becuase of both our maturity level he just couldn't get over his friends telling him what to do, and who to hang out with. So we never got to have a relationship because he thought he was too cool for me, and he also never spoke to me because I was unpopular and shy. So we were never even friends. Eventually I completely got over him, because he was too distant, and after that I realized how so wrong he was for me. For a long time I was really angry at myself for liking this boy. On top of that I have grown a crush with a professional football player who is just another "distant" person that I wouldn't consider contacting. It all relates, but I don't know the reason why.

Stupid Me. See what the snake does! It digs out your unconcious feelings that you've kept hidden. This is what I've been hiding. Ever since I chose to be an immortal, I have started to face some of the dark parts of my psyche. But at the same time I'm learning forgiveness and letting go of what you can't change.

Oh no pixel not a snake eeewww!
A Brown recluse is a big deadly poisenous spider. still traumatic though. followed by emergency room antics. ( Um thats a brown recluse bite. Clear me a room now and get my tools ready, are you allergic to novicane?)I would have really freaked if there had been a snake in my bed for real. It just feels like it's there in the instant i am between awake and asleep. as soon as the covers hit the floor and i am fully awake i realize it was just a dream. And Thank you for your support. Throwing covers has been a minor annoyance in my life for a while. it has always been my partner of the moments major issue( can't really say i blame them, being awoken in the middle of the night for imaginary critters might get me all bothered too)
*Still repeating I'm not I'm not I'm not afraid of snakes/spiders.

D'oh!!!!
I am in Canada, it gets so cold here in the winters nothing survives, so I know nothing of the names of poisonous creatures.. pardon my duh......
Nevertheless, if you change the snake to spider, and reread.... then maybe instead of seeing the flaws, it will make sense.. here, I will edit it...
But seriously, I understand your partner's point of view, being suddenly awoken by no covers.. but at the same time, it is more important for them to understand the affect it has on you.... and get over it.. them I mean, not you......

Oh dang it there you are sorry
Ya texas has a bunch of venomus critters. Just a funny, it's poisonus if you bite(eat) it and you die, it's venomus if it bites you and you die. That always cracks me up. My very educated always smarter than you ex-pieces taught me that.

StarLover ~~ Oh, those snakes. The one in your dream seems to have a dual meaning, as they often do. Sexual energies, quite obviously, but they are also symbolic of immortality ... shedding of the skin and thus renewal. Changing energies, wisdom, knowledge ... perhaps more than a dual meaning here.

Sounds good. I have a healthy respect for snakes. I once got to touch one of the largest snakes in the world. You know the snakes that can rap around you really tightly. I think it was one of those boa constrictors. Really cool. But it's not like I would go chasing after one of them if you know what I mean, or be next to a rattle snake either. Snakes are cool, but spiders scare the crap out of me.
