Has anyone read The Secret School by Whitley Streiber? There is an interesting technique in there for coming to understand and experience that time is a lie. When i tried this technique i had a brief sensaton of something huge... That's the only way i can describe it...But you know that feeling you get when your certain you've forgotten to do something incredibly important and you can't remember what? Well since that experience i've been walking around with that feeling permanently. Any ideas??? Red. IP: Logged |

Welcome Red I have not read that book, but I did read his first and I do have an idea about what the Secret School is. I know the feeling, and I have ideas, but I also think this is a matter of self-discovery and evaluation - a very individual experience. I have not made much progress in this area and usually avoid this stream of thought, from this angle ... curious, huh? IP: Logged |

Hi RedI finished reading Communion at my friend's house, and ended up staying the night there--no way was I going out into the dark to get home! Scary! No doubt Nebuchadnezzar could relate to the feeling you describe! It has also been called "waiting for the other shoe to drop." Personally, I think this is partly the basis for addictions, this sense of the immense vastness beyond time and space that is so much bigger than we are. It is rather like looking out into the great emptiness of the Grand Canyon--in a way it is terrifying to ponder the immensity of it all and the potential for being "swallowed up" and it drives us to the security of the things to which we have become addicted I wrote a poem about it once: Swollen Feelings feelings roil up from the bottom of our soul to be pushed back down to the straining seams heavy with mystery squashed with food flushed with drink and crowded with words that fill in the silent spaces of eternity D O W N d o w n down to the emptiness within to bubble up some other time and place from far away and long ago elusive peace in a still small voice beckons us embrace our lost divinity in the eternal now while deep tranquility like the quiet of a stage beyond the play waits for us to let go our burden of feelings

hi kev,I know the name Whitley Strieber through Art Bell and George Noory. I havnt read any of his books yet. Have you ever listened to Coast to Coast AM? Great show. George Noory is now the main host but it is originally Art Bells show. Look into it - what station it is on near you. I think you would like it. 26 IP: Logged |

You too Pix?? Awesome!!Yeah I'm Cap. rising and Saturn's in my 7th. So that can indicate having an older partner. BTW, I broke it off with my Taurus, I am thinking about adressing something about this in Soul Unions at some point. It's a sticky situation because we live together. I moved to another state with him in May and I am now trying to save up enough money to move back home and get my own place. It's REALLY not working out for me. Long story. And wouldnt you know it Transiting Saturn is conjunct my 7th house right now. This explains ALOT. Anyway, didnt mean to take over your thread with my issues Kev. BTW I think you can get Coast to Coast in England - look into it. IP: Logged |
