i posted this in free for all..and was suggested to ask Ra here...anyone with any insight?? when i was younger i often used to have episodes....often while in bed..not sleeping or while lucid...where i felt my body was extremely heavy..i often used to visualize an elephants feet..and sometimes id be stuck in the fear that if i tryed to move that i wouldnt be able to...so i never tryed...i would just eventually fall asleep...or my thoughts would move on..and id be free to move..as an adult i have experienced it too...but at very relaxed times..once while playing with a ouija board(which i will never do again)...mostly at times when i am deep in thought on something..my whole body feels extremely heavy...and of recent i have felt a detachment to my body..my body is heavy...but i am not..even if i move...for that time, whatever part i move is not heavy...but when back in still position...i am heavy again...it usually on last minutes...probably 20-30 max..does anyone have any insight to what it could be or mean??------------------ "If you judge people, you have no time to love them." -Mother Theresa IP: Logged |

One of the methods I use to induce an out-of-body-state begins with laying down, relaxing, and feeling the body as very heavy. This sensation is an indication that the body/mind has reached a certain level of relaxation. Are you relaxed when this happens? You may be able to use this sensation as a spring-board for having an OBE. Ever had one? Ever tried? IP: Logged |

It is only the thought that is scary. IP: Logged |

So how would someone go about having an OBE? Can you do it voluntarily?IP: Logged |

I had the feeling of being very heavy too!! Well, actually I was very heavy at the time of feeling very heavy. My bf tried to help me up and we fell to the ground. It felt like i weighed tons! He was trippin on it too and confused, and we were like , huh? We called them (and other phenomena that happens-another story) "episodes" too! I'm still wondering why it happened.IP: Logged |
