I had a pretty odd dream last night. First I heard on the radio that Ralph Nader had died. You know, it was a really off-hand comment made by the radio newscaster. And I was just going around asking people why no one knew about this or was making any hype or anything at all, considering he was a runner for president. Some kid told me it was because of a conspiracy made by the Democratic party.

Then later in the dream I find out that the government believes that the schools in my area are highly suspected of terrorist attacks because of a video they've just received from terrorists. I see a clip from it, and it looks like some sort of commercial, with a mom handing a young girl a ball. For some unknown reason, I'm the only one that knows that, and the government doesn't do anything about it/shut down any of the schools. And you know, I'm in high school, so I was pretty freaked. The rest of the morning was spent being half-awake and making plans to hop South Florida (where I live) in case it was a nuclear attack. It took me until I was really awake to realize that, hey, shut up brain, that was a just a dream, you're fine.

I don't know, it shook me up. I was so convinced when I was half-asleep that it was real and that I had to leave. I'm thinking the dream could be a culmination of things happening in real life-

- My school putting up gates everywhere and a couple of us people in band getting locked into the school for about twenty minutes late last night after coming back from a football game and just walking around the campus.

- A comment made by my friend that her friend's mom isn't letting her go to school on Tuesday because she's afraid something's going to happen.

- And all of the election crap going on in general.

Hello Everlong

Looks like current events have been bouncing around in your subconscious! How could they not. We are blasted from all sides at all times with all kinds of "crap". But I will say this, it is suggested in your dream that you are capable of seeing through much of the 'crap', so hang in there and try to maintain your sanity.

Thanks Ra! America is pretty much going insane right now, so you're right, it does make sense that I would have that sort of dream. I'll be glad when all of this blows over (if it does, hopefully =)

It's weird though, the whole being the only person knowing something is a bit of a re-occuring theme in my dreams. The other night, for instance, I had a dream that Princess Diana was still alive and I was the only one that was completely baffled by it.
