I havent been remembering my dreams at all lately, but I did remember part of one as I woke up today.

It was winter in the dream. I went outside to hide behind a snowbank in the yard of a house that I've never been to in waking life. I was in on some kind of plan with my boyfriend. He told me just to hide out there while he did something. So I was outside waiting and he opened the window in the house and said, "Okay, ready? Here they come.", as he pointed down the street to two boys walking home from school. Then he suddenly threw a wrapped gift out the window, into the street for the boys to come across. It was wrapped in silver paper with a red bow. He told me not to say anything to them, just stay down. They came across it, one of them picked it up, excitedly, and they kept walking, taking the gift with them. The dream gets a little fuzzy here. The next thing I remember is there is a little girl in the distance, walking up the street, with her backpack on. My boyfriend tells me to get down, and he throws another present out the window, in the same kind of wrapping. This box was bigger. When the little girl saw it, she ran over to it and picked it up. She was very excited to have found it, but had a hard time carrying it and kept dropping it along her way. It was at that point, I jumped up and shouted "Merry Christmas!!" to her, even though I knew I was supposed to be hiding. She grinned and said, "Mewwy Cwithmath!!" in this cute kid voice. She waved and walked on, struggling to carry the gift. And I woke up. Weird. lol Any thoughts?

Merry Christmas 26taurus

The little girl is more than likely an aspect of self. Have you felt like that lately? Like a little girl with more "gifts" than she can handle ... almost? Is this related to your relationship?

A dream like this can sometimes be compensatory for a lack-of in waking life, I hope this is not the case. Although it could represent a kind of mixture of both negative and positive feelings about this Season.

The dream could reflect a kind of emotional distance (snowbank) from the spirit of the Season while also reflecting the embracing of it (hiding while giving) ... does that make any sense? And it would seem that your boyfriend is a key player in this situation ... is he?

Hi Ra,

Thanks for taking some of your time to think about this.

It's funny because I do think the girl is most likey an aspect of myself, though I havent been feeling like that lately. I am currently jobless and very broke. I saved up a bunch of money from my last job to take a break. But now I've got to get back into the working world. I've been a bit lazy in my job hunting though, but I know I'll find something soon. So, I definitely dont feel like I have more gifts than I can handle ATM. Buuuut, I do feel very blessed in other aspects of my life - the non material parts of it. And I feel my boyfriend is a Blessing!

It seems the dream is somehow related to my relationship, though I'm not sure exactly how yet. My ex and I got back together about two months ago and things are going very well between us. You mentioned "emotional distance from the spirit of the Season". Indeed. Both of us could really care less about Christmas and we'll probably spend it watching movies together, something simple like it's any other day. I usually can't wait 'til Christmas is over and he's not into the whole thing either. So it's a bit unusual that I dreamt about it.

I'm still a little stumped on this dream, but it seems to me that the gifts were more representitive of 'spiritual gifts' for me. I do feel very blessed spiritually and see miracles everywhere. So maybe that's it. Or......maybe I'll recieve some kind of windfall. Hit the jackpot perhaps! Hey why not? Have to wait and see.

Thank you so much for your insight. You touched on some interesting things.

The dream is compensation for a lack in waking life. You are experiencing the joy of Christmas subconsciously because consciously you are not. Your mind is trying to balance itself.

The little girl inside of you wants a special Christmas ... I don't care what you say about it.

How about an awakening of the spiritual gifts. Aren't you remembering you are immortal, like you thought you were when you were a child? Just my two cents.

Looks like you've done it again Ra! "The dream is compensation for lack in waking life." Indeed. "Your mind is trying to balance itself out." Is that possible?

"The little girl inside of you wants a special Christmas ... I don't care what you say about it." LOL! If you say so! Youre the expert.

Philbird,
Great observation! I do think that is a great possibility. It makes total sense....

You know it dawned on me today that it could very well have something to do with this thread:

What do you think?

Looks like dreams can have multiple meanings. Because all of these interpretations make sense.
