I just thought I'd run it by all of you because he's just started talking about his dreams in the past two weeks The most recent one he tells me is about a big blue cat. He says it's climbing up the stairs again (we have 2 floors in our apartment with the bedrooms being on the 2nd floor). I can't get much more out of him than that. He says just that "a big blue cat! It's coming up the stairs again. Trying again!" Any ideas? ------------------
I like to watch you in your sleep IŽd give a million if I knew your name And all I need is to be with you In a state of dreams IP: Logged |

BRM, what does Hunter think of cats? Does he like them? How about the dream cat, how does he seem to feel about it? IP: Logged |

I just asked him a bunch of questions Apparently the cat was walking up the stairs (again) but was walking on two legs like a person. He was light blue and fat "like Garfield" (but with no stripes). He said it was nighttime in his dream and the cat wasn't nice but he couldn't tell me WHY the cat wasn't nice. IP: Logged |

Hi BRM Any idea what the cat was again trying to do? To me, the strongest possibility (though not the only one) would suggest that he may not be feeling good about something. I know that sounds very general, but with children I am a novice, except with my own, and for me it is tricky seeing through a child's eyes. Maybe he feels guilty about something, or he feels that someone is being "not nice" to him in waking life (a common theme when in school, no doubt). Or maybe he feels "not nice" about something. Has he been stressed lately? Any of those things possible? p.s. Any orb pictures with him lately? IP: Logged |

Just not sure. He seems to have a hard time finding the words he wants to describe things sometimes. But it's interesting that the dream has started his interest in dreams in general! When he wakes up in the mornings now he'll tell me if he's had one or not and then ask me if I had any dreams! If I had he'll want me to tell him about them. It's really cute. Orb pictures... I think the last clear one I got of him with orb was back in May of 2004. It was a really bright one, too. There haven't been as many since moving to this new place last April. Strangely enough, since moving he has also made HUGE improvements in school socially. His teachers noticed the first week after the move.

Its so wonderful that you are recognizing his dreams! When my daughters were little, I started their dream journals for them, now that they are teenagers - it is a part of their morning routine to jot their dreams upon awakening. Children's psychic abilities are at their strongest up until age 7, [That Saturn Cycle!] that is if they are not discouraged (usually by adults) in using them. I don't know what big blue cat is, but I'm sure it is something that is helpful to him! IP: Logged |
