Well, I was curious if you watch a movie about tragedy, and then have a dream of that tragedy happening to someone you love, is that just left over feelings of the movie superimposed on your loved ones. Out of Concern? I don't think it's precognative or anything like that, I just wondered why we would dream that.IP: Logged |

Hi Philbird That is a good question. Some say that we dream only of things which are somehow connected to our lives, our thoughts, or our psyches even when we are not consciously aware of the connection. On some level, we are aware ... our subconscious minds pick up tons of information that never enters our conscious awareness (the cause of many a 'premontion'). So, the theory goes, you will only dream it if there is a connection. I'm not saying that the same tragedy will befall the loved one, but there is at least something symbolic in it. Of course, there are those who will tell you it is just 'residue' from your daily life, carrying over, for no reason, into your dreamworld. IP: Logged | |
