Hi. I have been having recurring dreams about pelicans or storks I'm not exactly sure what kind of bird it is. It's really weird though because I have never had dreams like this before. I remember one dream I am driving down the road and it's daytime. I am driving slowly and all of a sudden a huge gray pelican about the size of a human crosses my path from the right. Then another and then another. I try to continue on and a total of six pelicans? Or storks cross my path. I remember thinking in my drea, "oh here comes another one!" It's weird because in my dream they make me feel protected or comforted somehow like it's totally natural for them to be there. Almost like they are protecting me from something. I have had two other dreams and I sense these birds in the background watching over me somehow. They are always standing and facing to the left. I don't know if that has any significance or not. I'm just curious... so these birds symbolize something? I can't seem to forget about these gray birds. Any feed back would be appreciated! Thanks.

When did you begin to have these dreams?

If the bird is a stork, it could suggest a new beginning, something new being 'delivered'. If it is a pelican, then it could suggest energies at work in the area of spirit/emotion/material world ... in other words, how you are relating your spiritual life to your emotional and physical lives. Or the bird could actually be a kind of spiritual presence, like an animal guide.

Other symbols, such as movement from right to left, the number six, standing facing left, etc, lead to some questions ... have you been looking to the past, or dealing with some past issue lately? Or is there something from the past that you need to address? Have you completed something? Some inner work? Do you feel pretty much in harmony with life right now?
