What makes our minds unable to rest fully at night..that they must spin and turn while we so want to just sleep? What causes our brains not to be able to shut off, the portion of our mind that dreams come from...and where exactly DO dreams come from? Why do certain dreams affect us more than others? Are dreams a result of eating pizza or chocolate before bed? Or stress? Or not enough rest..? Or are they signs...from God, from higher powers... Are dreams revelations? Are they a portal into the future? I've had a few dreams lately that I wish I had not ever had. They have bothered me greatly, especially one from last night. They have left me a feeling of dread. Of complete dread. As if something is getting to happen, concerning the person who was in the dreams. And I don't feel that what is about to come, is going to be good. I'd like to close the portal that I feel is open...sometimes anyway... Any thoughts on some of my questions? I'm just rambling I guess...for I'm awake past midnight, for I don't want to close my eyes tonight, for fear of what I will dream tonight... IP: Logged |

I had a recurring nightmare about my mother getting into a wreck on a curvy, snowy mountain road. I had the dream twice, with slight variations, but the main symbols were the same. This was last summer and I told my mom about them. I even reminded her when the first snow fell. And indeed, it was a harsh winter! But, I think the sheer warning of it, from me to her, was the most important part to remember. I mean, frightening dreams are hard to forget, so they must mean something. The first step is analyzing and evaluating whether the dream can actually occur. Then, make precautionary actions. Finally, reflect on the dream as a symbolic warning for yourself. (I try to cover my arse on all sides about nightmares!) If anything, it helps ease the um...uneasiness about it all. I have amazing dreams, which are as much a part of my life as the waking activities. I sleep for long periods of time and get bothered when I can't remember dreams. My mom says its just an excuse for being lazy. But, seriously, I have to get a lot of sleep to feel "right." I'm a night owl, but I sleep until late afternoon if I can. And my bed is like a shrine to comfort!! gotta love goosedown. IP: Logged |

What causes our brains not to be able to shut off, the portion of our mind that dreams come from...and where exactly DO dreams come from? Most of it is simply stuff we have ignored or not paid attention to, and need to address on some level. Different people have different reasons for why they do or do not remember them. Are dreams revelations? Are they a portal into the future? You know they can be, and so much more. IP: Logged |

the teacher Amber...thing is, it's not so much the actions in the dreams, as it is the horrible feelings I have when I wake...I guess I just have so many unanswered questions...IP: Logged | |
