Was it a fear about your "freedom" or "liberty"? Or was it related to some other aspect of the "structure" of your life? Did you pay your taxes? Just curious. IP: Logged |

I can't think of anything off hand. The emotion of the dream was fear. All seems well here, although in the same dream were scarabs and my older sister having a baby, it was almost martian like. We were both very happy about the birth. Yes, silly, I paid more than my share! Don't the refund checks have a picture of the statue of liberty on them??? Maybe mine will be lost in the mail!I do have a question though. My entire life I have dreampt about either beetles, cockroaches or scarabs. No spiders or other insects. They are always in large numbers. When I was about 10, I had a hullicination while I was in bed. There were large black cockroaches all around me. I couldn't move or talk, literally. I was paralized with fear. Just before waking, I was dreaming I was in a coffin. That wasn't even close to the fear when I had the hallucination. I know I was hallucinating because I layed there for at least 2 minutes. I did manage to get up and get to my mom's room, but the bugs were still all around. I woke her up to come to check out my room, still believing they were there. When she turned the light on, they were gone. IP: Logged |

Hmmm ... the hallucination can be explained, but why you dream only of beetles, etc. is a bit more difficult. Do you remember anything from early childhood that this could stem from? ... some kind of "traumatic" event involving one of these bugs? IP: Logged |

Yeeeeeesssssss? I thought it too obvious, but we had a lot of waterbugs in our house. At night if you walked into the kitchen and turned on the light, there they were! We had rats, mice, weasels, snakes, a wolverine, flies, maggots, skunks, silverfish, but I don't dream about them! I'm also SURE Big Foot came by once or twice! IP: Logged |

So what is the association with your childhood and those bugs, and how/why does that manifest in the present, what is the trigger? Is it some kind of particular stress? IP: Logged |
