I was about fifty feet away, watching a dog attached to a long pole by a leash that didn't have a lot of give. It was running around the pole, straining to get to a leaf that was blowing around it. I remarked to someone with me that I was looking at this dog.. I said something like "Isn't it a sweet thing, what a cute dog!' but that this dog was on a short leash, but it had the other walking leash still attached, dangling on the ground.. I thought the dog wasn't in pain, but did feel restricted. The dog was a smart looking playful breed.. like a collie I think... All of a sudden, an orange car came from the other direction, driving quickly by the dog. The leash entangled itself on the car, and I thought 'Oh no!' as the leash he was on didn't have enough give, it was very sturdy, and the other leash was also sturdy.. both around its neck.... with great yelps, I watched this poor dog airborne, a product of give and take, not knowing what would happen... whether it would be hurt, or which leash would snap. One had to.... eventually, the dog went with the speeding car. But not without pain.I was sad watching it happen, I couldn't really do anything about it, other than pray for the car to realize this.
I also realize how this works with my life... as I write this out.
Hmmmmmm.......
Is the dog me? Or could I interpret it differently....

Also, this morning, I woke up on my own, without the alarm, at 6:12 am... I immediately thought I was late, as the sun was too bright for that early, and when I saw it was almost an hour before I actually had to wake up, I thought the clock was wrong.. thats how assured I was...... But I was well rested, so I just got up. I had the song 'Under Pressure' by Queen, in my head.. I haven't heard it recently, and as always, the Vanilla Ice version will appear in my head ( with great resentment) as I 'sing along' inside...
When I got in the car, Under Pressure was on the radio. I was like Whoa!!!!
Such an extremely strange morning. Then this dream. I thought I'd post this.

I was thinking more about synchronicity, duality and psychic natures.
People sort of attach to me this aura of 'psychic'.. I think, because I fit in with the rest of the world ( the best I can .) But I am aware of the grain that runs beyond.. and I do think more are aware than pop culture would have you believe, or normalcy would have them admit....
So people will go "Oh, O.. You're psychic, aren't you?"
I'm like ~ no, I am intuitive.. there's a big difference in interpretation there....
I am 'stooopid psychic'.... you know, little things that happen to everyone, happen to me, but with more frequency ( or maybe I just notice more ) Like 'random'songs on the radio, or saying something exactly when someone else does.... or interpreting empathically what someone means, but not being able to word it correctly... or predicting who is calling, things like that.
Yesterday, I thought of Sheaa Olein, and wondered where she was.. I was even going to post an "I miss you sheaa" thread......... and lo and behold, there was a post today in FFA from her....

Nothing that would be of consequence enough to remark upon. Or to particularily be helpful, other than a laugh.

When I was dating my hubby, I grabbed his waist and led him to the bedroom, saying "As Bugs Bunny would say, 'come with me to the Cazbah'..."
I found out soon, He was wearing Bugs Bunny boxers.
*no, I thought they were cute... .*

Random wierdness. They just make you go Hmmmmmmmmm.....

This has nothing to do with your dream (sorry, I wish I had some ideas different from your own), but I just read this post at Trevor Romain's site, concerning intuition ~

http://www.trevorromain.com/blog/archives/2005/06/intuition.html
Part of his post:
"Why do we not listen to the inner-voice of reason? Why do we do things like CONTINUE to sneak through the spooky house that whispers, “Get out,” and has mirrors that drip blood?

My grandfather was exceptionally intuitive and often amazed me with his ability to ‘feel’ things before they happened.

He told me that he believed that every person is naturally intuitive, even if they do not know how to tap into it.

He helped me to understand that intuition isn't something mystical or strange. “It's a sense we all have, probably our first sense, necessary for survival,” he told me. “Designed to help us, intuition is what tells us when something simply doesn't feel right; the gut feeling that reveals something wrong, when for all practical purposes it looks and sound fine.”

My grandfather told me he had a ‘gut feeling’ about staying in Eastern Europe when he was a young man. He told everyone that they needed to move because he had a strange feeling that something bad was going to happen. Most people pooh-poohed him and called him paranoid. He left Europe and moved to South Africa. Six months later many of his extended family (including children) we’re slaughtered in the pogroms.

My grandfather told me one way to trust intuition is to act on it. He likened intuition to a muscle. “The more we use it, the stronger it gets. Be willing to be flexible, change plans, or get a second opinion, when you have that gut feeling,” he said.

“If a thought makes its way into your awareness, listen to it. Respect it. Trust it,” he said. “If is turns out to be a false alarm, all you will have lost is a little time and perhaps a little pride. Which is not such a bad thing.”

Thanks Teaselbaby!
That was great to read!

I do trust it. I really do.
My problem is I am so analytical that I wonder if my mantra is from me, constantly reasserting things, or higher self/collective unconscious....
Some things you just know.. beyond explanation.

I know what you mean Pix. I am often wrong when I listen to the voice in my head regarding intuition. Most of the time I just do stuff that often relates to something someone needed at the time. Example, I have been making herbal tinatures and I thought it would be nice to give one to my therapist. So yesterday, I gave her one I made for health wealth and happiness. It just so happens, she had been trying to figure out how to make one to send to her sick son. At that time she needed to know how to make an oil and I appeared with the solution. I often find that when I give something to someone, it's the time they need it. But I don't consciously think about it. I often can't articulate what I know, or feel, so I don't say anything. Someone told me that you don't always see with your brain, sometimes it's the sacral area where you "see."
I also thought of Sheaa at the same time!

YES!
That is the coolest!
I love being a part of those "How did you know" moments!
When you or the other involved is a part in the answer to the Universal question of the moment!
You are the best, Philly!

Unfortunately, I agree that the dog is probably you. And what better dog than a Collie? Not many other dogs have a mane like that, like a lion.

Gosh.. yes, I pretty much had that part figured out when I started writing it.
thanks for reaffirming it.

Funny that you can experence something, and not know which pieces fit wehere, but when you write it out , being descriptive, as you know others will read it, you really think about it from anothers' perspective.. It clarifies a lot.
I can't tell you how many dreams I have that I figure out as I'm typing it here.... ( or at home )
I really is theraputic.

Interesting how many of the same veined dreams I have.... It must really be full in my unconscious. It's hard to explain though.. this devotion and love. It's not a matter of the grass is always greener.. it is me taking the rose tinged glasses off for a time and thinking.. Hmmmmm....is this happy? It is in moments... but I feel I am living in the past a lot.
Even though he does these amazing things like... as soon as I get home from being on my feet (either at work or dancing. ..) he will massage my feet. Unasked....
He LOVES me so much. He really does.
Bu then while he says he loves my brain/my quirks/those things that make me me..... I see that the things he compliments me on are the things everyone else does too.... It should be a private, special, REAL connection. I am tired of feeling misunderstood.
Anyway, there is more, as always, but I will not go there today.

Thanks for the help!

Hmmm, Pix. should?
I just posed that question because, well recognizing those special qualities within ourselves is for us and not necessarly obvious to even the people we love. But then again I just posted a thread on what people think of me!!!
There isn't a person in my life that has ever said ANY of the things posted in that thread.
I have asked hubby the same thing and unfortunatly he "can't explain it."
I had gone so long without social recognition, I didn't know who I was. That is why I posted that question. Make any sense? buddy!

HI Teaselbaby!

Please, hijack my thread anytime!
Last night I met an old frined ( I hadn't seen him in eight years or so!)and he lost his father last week. We talked all night. It seems to be the time for rebirth as well as death ( but I guess they always go hand and hand.)
I told him ( because his father was in pain he last litle while) that he is better nw than he has been, and general comforting thoughts.. but not the standard ones.. and I read his language, and so I point blank asked him if he felt life after death was valid. *These things we ask ourselves when faced with it, so I figured it was on his mind
He quoted all this logic.. you can scientifically explain this and that... gave me these intelligent answers, well thought out obviously. He said then religions come with all these theories that stretch the confines of logic, etc.. and we are supposed to accept it.
I actually agreed with him.. BUT... There is room in logic for its opposite, faith perhps.. I said okay, so the concept of death and what happen afterwards is hard to explain, and who knows if its right.. but how can you explain dreams? Logic doesn't work in them.... yet they are real.. in that realm that you can't classify. You just have to open yourself up a little and embrace a different sort of logic. And its opposite. He actually opened that up a little bit. I also suggested he write a letter to his dad, as a lot of things weigh on him.
You know our comfort mechanisms? One of mine is to blur the timeline of a death.
My cousin died in '95.. in an accident, she was only 17, our families' first experience with death and it was tragic... I can't remember if it was the 17th or the 18th of April she died. Every year, I make a mentalnote to remember.. nd every time I am assured of the actual date, It blurrs again. Isn't that wierd?
Turns out yesterday, the 10th is when my grandfather died, not the day before.
It is so wierd that I do that. I have literature in my house, memoriums clipped, etc.. but still, I blur it.
Wonder why.

I wish all the best to you and your family. I know, dynamics are tangled webs on the best of days.. it's the worst ones we find our true feelings.

Love to you and yours.

I just wanted to leave this here, as it is on my mind.
I go out and am popular where I go... Because I am fun, I dance, I generally have a good time no matter who is there, and I will talk to whoever. *and usually find random, happy connections.*
PLus, the boys like me.
The comments I get range from sweet to downright gross and rude..... and of course, they are usually regarding my appearance. I like it, a booster shot to the ego.. but I am well aware that it isn't truly real.
This friend, who I spent the evening talking with, *the one I spoke about up there*
Said afterwards.. "I am the least unintelligent girl he's ever met." * we joked about brains, that's why he worded it like that*
Days later, I am still feeling that.
That is really nice. I spent the evening talking with him, and he didn't say "Wow, you're hot." He said... "wow, you're smart."

What a pleasant change.
I will definately be talking to him again.
I mean, for someone who needs outside assurance and approval.. the best sort I can get is the one that comes from within instead of a good gene pool and skillful application of cosmetics.

Holy shitebricks.
I am having a hard time sleeping, so I randomly clicked on a number, from the past pages, thinking it would be relevant to me.

Well wouldn't you know, it's a dream and a circumstance I was just thinking about, about intuition (heehee) and trusting it, and it's a lovely message from Philbird, who has just connected (and I do hope she comes around again, I would love to say hello again)
...and some hearts from Ra...
...and a story from Teasel...almost...
and Sue G!!!

So amazingly relevant. I suggest everyone does some random clicking. You may find the answer you're looking for.

I feel no chains, yet amazingly I am still where I was, in terms of my relationship-only I chose, and decided to choose happiness. The guy I met that night ended up having a lot to do with the destruction and the subsequent reconstruction of my marriage. I obviously wanted to be loved for my brain and not shallower attributes. Philbird had some excellent advice. (Thanks)
