Merry Meet,

Last night, I dreamt of my grandparents freezing to death in a snowstorm. My grandfather was feeling depressed and suicidal, and wanted to take my granmother with him. At the last moment, he changed his mind and took her back inside a house. By this time, her feet had frozen. I woke up really sad, because my grandmother passed away late last year. She was a Pisces ruler of feet, and so I felt sad about that symbol of frozen feet. I have no idea what this dreams means, it was just really sad.

Welcome!

Celeste, WELCOME!

Perhaps this was simply an expression of your sadness over your grandmother's passing. But, how is your grandfather doing since her death? Does he feel depressed and lonely? does he need some attention to make him feel warm and loved?

Thanks for the warm welcome and replies. Yes, I've been very sad since she left. I haven't even seen my granfather since, he lives out of the country. I will ask my mom for his phone number so I may call him. He loved her very much, they where married for 60 years.

My grandfather died a year ago yesterday. They were married for sixty years as well.
It is such a different world that I am afraid very few of this generation will live to see that intense level of commitment and deep love.
That feeling of 'divorce is not an option, this is you and me forever.'
I think it makes relationships that much more binding, and catapaults them to this level of love that probably few will truly know.
My grandmother was at a family wedding on Saturday, as well as in April. Both times, you could really see it and feel it from her.. this intense lonliness. It is without words.
I love her at a level that transcends family dynamics and I am at peace with her strength and the unending backbone she has.
That woman is someone I hope to emulate.. if not in the marriage capacity, then the loving one....

RIP Stanley Kott

I am sorry for your situation .. but I am glad you are dreaming of it.
I think phoning him would be one of those things you'd be so happy you did.
What do you think the frozen feet could indicate?

Hi Pixie,

Sorry to hear about you grandfather, may he rest in peace. Your grandmother sounds like a strong person, you are probably very much like her. Its a little sad how our generation has so distanced itself from the sacredness of a loving union. I know my grandpa must miss her so much, I will be glad to call him. I have no idea what the frozen feet symbol means. I just thought it being related to Pisces, the freezing of feelings. Maybe, its for me to get in touch with the pain and loss instead of burying it deep inside.

That is exactly what it means. Frozen emotions.

It also has to do with your foundation, your roots, your under-standing, balance. Can you see how some of these things relate?

Celeste, When I think of frozen feet I think of inaction...frozen in your tracks?
Maybe getting in touch with your feelings and getting in touch with your grandfather would bring the warmth to thaw you both.
