Hello! I have been here watching for awhile and now, I have a question. I very rarely remember my dreams, any suggestions or help as to why this is? And is there anything I can do to help me remember my dreams? Thanks

Hello hveatch The first step is a desire to remember, so you have already begun. The apparently tried and true method is to write down whatever you remember upon awakening, no matter how small or insignificant. If you do not remember a thing, then write down one or two words describing how you feel, when you are awakening ... tired, agitated, annoyed, romantic, peaceful, energized, whatever. Some people draw pictures to describe key elements of the dream, instead of using words. Even a rough sketch can bring back the whole dream, years later. If you do these things regularly, you will begin to recall more and more. If you do a search in this forum, you may find some other suggestions. IP: Logged |

Yep Ra is right! I used to (sometimes) find it difficult to remember dreams, the first step then was I'd ask myself how I felt when I woke up. So I wrote that down, and so from there I would write things like fragments of the dream. eg. 'man under the table', 'tap dripping', 'strange noises' ect... and once I started that process eventually the whole dream was remembered. I actually had to do this process this morning! ------------------ "The important thing is this: to be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become." OMG, think and ye shall receive! I'm starting to get bits and pieces of my dream as I'm waking in the morning!! So cool, now I have to start writing down what I'm getting! Thanks for the advice, it's working so far. I'm sure I'll be back now for help on interpreting them!IP: Logged |

We look forward to it! You'll be surprised at how much a fragment can reveal, and that's just the beginning. Pleasant dreams!
