Disclaimer: When I was a little girl. My hair was very long and curly and my mother (now deceased) would wash it in the kitchen sink. I would sit on a Yellow Book, close my eyes as she ran the water and lathers me up. I hated to get it combed but I loved to get it washed.

I am having a recurring dream of washing my friend's hair. We are laughing. It is some sort of shared joke where we both keep chuckling. His eyes are closed; he is smiling, almost a nirvana smile. It is the summer; we are in my kitchen. I am wearing a sleeveless shirt and denim shorts and am barefoot. I am always barefoot but in real life rarely wear shorts. He has a warm fluffy towel around him. We can feel each other breathe when I lean over to build the lather up. It's like chocolate almost. I don't want it to end but it inevitably does.

That's it!

So what's that all about?

LILYGIRL.
Reputa the beuta, let me in, It's the wooba Gooba with green teeth.
Mary Magdeline comes to mind. Washed his feet, probably while he drank fine wine. Your hair is obviously beautiful. And would make a fine washing cloth in the Bible.
Your strength, lies in your hair, somewhere, tell me more.
Love and Light.

Hello LilyGirl (and lotusheartone!)

I absolutely, 100%, agree with Pixie.

There are obvious connections between the good feelings of the past and some situation/issue in the present. Symbolically, hair can be related to thoughts/thought-forms, and in conjunction with the experience in your youth with your mother, the dream could suggest that you feel very comfortable with this guy, that you have some important mental/emotional things in common (shared joke), and that perhaps you desire to reveal more of yourself to him (sleeveless/shorts/barefoot).

Hair can also symbolize sensuality, especially the way you describe it, and so can chocolate ... so, are there romantic implications here?

It is also possible that your friend is a subconscious stand-in for someone else.

What do you think?

Thanks everyone! We are friends not lovers, but we share an odd karmic bond, perhaps an attraction too. My solar return chart is Scorpio Moon in 12th house conjunct a Scorpio ascendant so I expect more of this in the unfolding year ... dreams that is ...

That barefooted, sleeveless top and shorts analysis seems so very on,wanting to reveal more of yourself as a person in a way that is comfortable. I agree that it is also deeply sensual -- in a warm, smooth carefree way.
