Hi Ra...

I don’t remember much but tonight I had a very strange dream… My intuition tells me the symbology is clear but I don’t know how to interpret it… Something to do with my ego, super-ego and unconscious?

I bet you can help me...

I was this little princess, a very young kid... I was very ill for some reason... Dying... This bunch of kids and animals were trying to save me from this danger... The theme was similar to “Neverending story”, remember the novel or the film?

Someone really dark was coming to get me... To kill me... While these young kids, similar to the lost kids in Peter Pan or the Dwarfs in Snow White were trying to trick that danger away from me... If I died, something much greater would die with me, my kingdom would disappear...

But then someone materialised... An evil man, with twisted looks, a pirate... It had been sent to kill me...

And then another man appeared... A powerful knight with long dark hair and big muscles, wearing a white shirt... And that was me too...

The evil man and me (the good-looking muscled dark haired man) fought with swords, like pirates... And I cut the evil man’s arm off, the right one holding his sword... And then I won, saving the princess...

You're right. It has to do with you having a good side and a bad side to your personality. Yet the good side wins over meaning you make the right choices in your everyday life. You don't let your EGO, your shadowy side get in the way. You're keeping your kingdom (life) together. I think Ra will explain it better. The dream has a very wistful fairy like theme to it which I think explains the kind of personality you have. You are very fairy-like.

I think StarLover hit the nail on the head.

This dream seems to reflect a battle going on within yourself. Perhaps you fear losing some part of your child-self, the innocent, playful, creative side of self, and you must call upon your mature, "powerful" self to save your inner princess.

The dream could suggest that you need to be assertive and strong (masculine aspects suggested by the knight) against whatever it is that threatens you. As StarLover said, this could be another aspect of self, a dark part of you, and this could also be hooked into someone/something on the 'outside'. If the battle is not completely internal, the dream could suggest that someone's actions, or perhaps their words (sword lexies to words), are affecting you and that you have the ability to "cut off" the "reach" (arm) of that negative energy by drawing upon your inner masculine stregths.

Does any of that make sense?

Hi Ra!!!

Yes… Maybe you are right… I’m in a position where I have to stand for myself and be aggressive. I’m on my own, my life is in front of me with no promises of a companion and I’m terrified.

I always wanted to be rescued. To be saved from that future that now I’m fearing. A life on my own, emotionally on my own. And I need to be a warrior to survive… I bet that is it.

So the princess is me, what I long to be… the child I once was, the femenine powerless me who is ill of loneliness, threatened to die… And the knight is me as well, the powerful side, the masculine side I need to be to survive. I was both in the dream… But also the kind of man I’m longing for… for the princess in me to survive…

What is exactly the evil pirate? The outside world, the cruel reality?

I didn’t kill the pirate… Only cut his arm off…

There you said it. It is both outside world and cruel reality. And you did not cut off the arm that had the sword meaning the problem is not fully solved. Only one "half" of the problem is solved - the one arm. You perceive the outside world to be cruel.

Oh, thanks Raj!!!

Yes... Being outside in the cold, on your own, is cruel... It's a battle, a war...

So the problem is half solved? How?

I'm still fighting. I've been for a long time. It doesn't appear to be close to an end. To keep the princess alive... But I don't think I'm winning in real life...

Hi Raj, it's good to see you.

You guys are right, the pirate can represent harsh reality, but more than that I think he represents your own internal battle, your fears and anxieties about the outside world.

So the battle, the conflict, is mostly internal.
