Last night I dreamt about birds. In my dream I saw a flock of pigeons/doves flying around my property. All of a sudden, I saw one pigeon drop to the ground. So I quickly run over to see if it is ok or not. I pick it up, as it was still alive, and put it in my top pocket. I rush inside to see if it is ok. It seemed ok but it didn't want to leave my pocket. So I left it in there, and for the whole day, I walked around with a pigeon in my pocket.

I think I know what this dream means.
Birds represent freedom, imagination, thoughts and ideas. And they can also be used to understand man's behaviour.

I recently left my job as I was unhappy about the work I was doing. But I was worried about what to tell my parents. I eventually told them. Perhaps leaving my job is a sort of freedom. And also I have thought about what to do in the future.

But what I don't understand is, why the bird didn't want to leave my pocket? It obviously means some sort of protection. Protection from what? The world?

Yes, it looks like you hold your freedom dear, close to your heart (top pocket), it is very important to you. But you fear what the world could do, you fear your freedom could be taken from you again. You are afraid to fly.

Is that it?

Freedom to me is VERY important to me. I don't know what I would do if it was taken away from me.

Then don't let it be taken, but also remember that sometimes we may have to compromise and make sacrifices. Just make them temporary.
