So last night it was zombies.

It started with me laying on the bed. I coughed a little and then I felt something in my throat. I reached in and pulled it out and it was a ghosty white and thin leech-like thing about 4 inches long. I was disgusted because I didn't know how many were in me and what if I was infested? I threw it on the floor and it grew legs like a centipede and turned colours like a rainbow. It scurried around until it ran into a large grasshopper. I was watching all of thise with much interest. They fought and the grasshopper won and began to eat the leech. When it was done, the grasshopper brought me the leech's head which I thought was really weird but almost touching.

I looked in my closet and a black and white cat fell off the top shelf in there onto the floor. It looked like my old cats Sam or Morganstein. I hadn't seen the cat in the dream in years. I heard Vin say "We better buy some catfood."

I picked up the cat to pet him but his back was yucky - small clumps of hair were falling out and the skin was falling apart. I thought maybe he had mange or something so I put him outside to get some fresh air.

When I opened the door I wasn't here in my apartment anymore. It was a house more in the country. There was a dirt road by it, tons of grass and trees. I was living with some extended family and I had to go to town because I wanted to pick up some supplies. I went outside after letting the cat free and I decided to go in the Hummer. I remember thinking it was very protected. This wasn't a commercial Hummer but one of the army vehicles and it looked like it had seen warfare before because it was a little dented here and there. I got in and started driving after putting HUnter in the passenger seat with me because he wanted to go.

As I was driving I realized what was happening. Somehow the zombies were taking over again. It had happened to earth before and it spread like wildfire before most people knew what was going on. I could see the houses on the side of the road in their windows - and see the zombies getting in and attacking those inside and immediately turning them into zombies, too.

So my new mission was to get to town, get supplies, and find somewhere safe for us to be until things got back to normal - if they ever did. I got into town fine - had to run over a couple zombies and saw my cat which was a zombie cat. When people turned into zombies their eyes would turn black - not just the iris but the whole of the eye.

Next thing I know Hunter is somewhere safe with friends out of town until I can find a better place, I had been to the store which required ID to enter to prove you weren't a zombie, and I was on the street. There were big red double decker busses taking people out of town and I watched them a while before heading up the street to figure something else out. Suddenly I was being chased by these girls - about 8 to 10 years old. They are wearing school uniforms and they are zombies. One of them with blone hair made into braids stopped by me and was struggling with her zombie self. She was so nice before she died that even her zombie self was having a hard time getting her to kill people. She pointed to my bracelet because she liked it and then ran off - obviously pained. I cried because I thought that if she weren't a zombie then we'd be great friends.

I got out of town somehow and then managed to get a ride with Alan Rickman in his big truck. Several scenes here of running over and out running zombies. He took me to the mountains and it was then I realized we were in Germany. I took out my camera to take photos of the castles in the valleys and on the mountains. I didn't think most of them were coming out great, though, because we were going so fast. There were signs here and there all written in German so I couldn't read them but I remember loving trying.

We came to a rocky pass in the moutain that was just big enough for the truck and then inside there was a cave in the rocks that was made into a house/shelter with thick wooden doors. I said "oh ALAN! This will be perfect! I can go back and get them and bring them here and we can wait out the zombies!"

------------------

And always I think where we might have gone If we'd never met inside this song
Our names are enciphered But the words became true
When I was the sun and you, you were the moon
And there were the stars That helped to navigate our souls

i read this the other day and didnt post but its bothering me,
the same night you dreamt of zombies my 13 year old son did too.
they were trying to bite him and he said he kept seeing the color red.
that same night my husband dreamt of an urban war scene and he was a sniper and was shot in the head on the right side as the man said "right side"
that same night i dreamt i was in a forest racing bicycles i lost the race by an inch
then i saw my husband on concrete steps in front of an apartment and he said "its over"
i knew he meant that the kids and i should leave the city of chicago ( we are not in chicago in real life)
so i loaded our luggage into a black suv and got onto an empty highway.
i just thought this was odd when i read your dream.......................

Just cuz...
last night I dreamt I was a hostage between gangs.... I was stuck and I had to pass by a massive group of opposing forces,in a covered building type alley way... and just as I was almost through the group ( playing it cool) this guy knew he would be shot if he didn't have a shield, so he grabbed me. I knew I would then be shot.
I woke up , disturbed.
What's with the violence? something to do with collective unconscious?

well..
I wonder what that's all about. I think that makes things 10 times creepier! Maybe there was a reason I posted it then.

On the same day, I had a nightmare on monsters. The thing is, I felt it so real that after I woke up and when I heard the door sound, I started searching for pistol under the pillow ! (in the dream, i had to battle doom 3 monsters and always had the worry whether I and my girl friend end up safely)

(personally, I find it a little creepier that you keep a pistol under your pillow.)

Oh, and HI! Welcome

Well, BloodRedMoon is a very talented photographer (in my opinion), so it would not be too unusual for her to have one in a dream, although there could certainly still be some significance. In fact, she has posted many dreams here over the years in which she was taking pictures.

Hi BRM

I have a photo that I bought a couple of years ago. It is an old abandoned church, the photographer shined the headlights from his truck through the church and then took the photo. It is just beautiful. It would be great if you got a photo like that, you have the best dreams.

Love and light

Well now I want to take a pic of a church with the full moon but I'll need a new camera, first. I'm really feeling the limitations of mine now - low end digital camera.

Blood Red woman, I was sooooooo enchanted with the photos you have and the digital art as well, that you posted over in Free for all.
*Ra.. check her out, thread titled 'Art' I know you've seen them before, but wow. She rawks.

I know you said you hadn't sold any yet.. but I mean.. isn't it time?
Is it?
If you dream of things that give you pleasure, and do it naturally.... should you listen to them?
If I saw those photos in an art book, I wouldn't be surprised.. they are that good.
You dazzle me.
PLease let it be time soon! You can't regret that decision.

<3 You're the best, pixie! That really really brightened my day.

I guess I could sell them... I'd have to figure out how to go about it. I guess I see so much more room for improvement and I see all the flaws in some of the photos and how they should be better and how I should have better equipment, etc. I know - I talk myself out of it.

But with such encouragement... I promise to look into it further this weekend when I have a few moments to breathe! *work is insanely hectic and I'm poooped when I get home*

I'm with Pixie all the way on that. You under estimate yourself, totally.

You have some kind of gift in that area, it can be felt through the work.

Okay, about the dream ...

The throat is your center for creative expression, and the leech represents that which must be removed to un-block the flow of this energy. I think you are the grasshopper, and Vin is the leech.

The black and white cat represents an old pattern of internal conflict, a conflict between opposing feminine aspects of self - the submissive and the creative. It could be that Vin wants to keep the "zombie cat" alive, that aspect of yourself which he has some control over.

The meaning of the zombies is two-fold, at least. They symbolize the "zombie" side of yourself, that which you fear becoming. They also symbolize the "zombie" aspects of others in your life, the unthinking, unfeeling side of another/others which you fear being overcome by.

The blonde, school-uniformed zombie girl is you, "struggling with her zombie self", almost childlike in your emotional condition with this struggle. It also suggests that the roots of your zombie-self are rooted in childhood experience.

But there is hope. Your subconscious, at the very least, sees a light at the end of the tunnel. You do not have to be a zombie, you can survive it and overcome it.

And again, there are also connections here with past-life experience, as part of the problem and the solution.

Make any sense?

Devilfish ...

Is your son angry about something? (seeing red) Is he worried about being overcome by some mindless (to him) situation/issue?

Is your husband involved in some sort of conflict in which he may not be "right"? (at the time of the dream)

Are things okay for you in your relationship, your home life?

Your dream could suggest that there are issues on the home front, or that maybe you are not feeling noticed/acknowledged by your hubby at the moment.

All these dreams taken together tend to make one think that there may be some anxieties or stress in the family life. Is this so?

Pixie ...

The collective unconscious, yes. There is a great deal of activity in the spiritual realms right now (so I am told), and the battles that are ensuing there are having a palpable effect upon the physical world, trickling down to us. It is affecting us, in the physical, on many levels - from global issues right down into our personal lives. Each of us is affected differently.

As above, so below ... your dream, Ms. Pixie, reflects the collective spiritual struggle within your own life's circumstances. You are a hostage, caught between two battling parts of yourself. You are "stuck", unable to transition (shot in alleyway).

The guy who grabbed you could represent your husband ... are you his "shield" in waking life?

Oh Ra..(Ms. Pixie *sigh*)
Thanks for the freebie!!!!

Yeah.. maybe in ways.
You know.. I was pushing him away, then we had the 'breakup' talk.. but not a fight, a realistic talk about these things that don't go away, based upon fundamental differences.... and what that means, and that even though things are 'fine' for the most part... I am not good with fine. He is.
So, rather than pushing away, I accepted, I took moments as they came instead of trying to define a relationship on needs and what is important.. Can I live on moments? Not when they are so imnportant to my soul. I love the moments, but well... it isn't happening for me anymore.
The problem is it is still happening for him. He loves me, I am enough for him ( though I push him away obviously, so I think.. "How could that possibly be enough for you?") I am making moves toward independence. I love him, but he deserves someone who appreciates him more than I try to. We don't speak the same language, though I love him.. you know? I expect us to be friends, and I want him happy.
For instance.. we were at a friends wedding last week, and I was in the wedding party. I had a great time, and people approached me (always someone will make a comment, no matter where we go) and said " I have never seen someone look at their wife the way he looks at you."
Shouldn't this make me feel happy? It does, but I feel fake. He loves me. I love him.. but.
see, I always feel so bad.
So anyway.. I suppose I am his shield.
Thanks.
