A friend of mine keeps having dreams in which he discovers dead bodies. The other night, he dreamt the body was under his mattress in a state of decomposition.I'm usually pretty good at figuring out what people's dreams might mean, but this has me stumped. I asked how the bodies make him feel, and he says he is never frightened, but feels excited (in the sense that he has some type of mystery to solve)/curious about the bodies. They don't belong to people he knows, but in most of the dreams he has to hide from people because he feels like people will find him responsible if he turns the bodies in. I get that part of this seems to be that he feels like he gets accused of things that he really did not do. (And he has confirmed that this happens to him a lot at work.) But why the dead bodies? That's pretty trippy.I don't know anything about dream interpretation. Just a cheap form of entertainment for me. I have had a blame dream before. I was at a camp, and everyone was receiving death threat letters including me, but everyone thought it was me. Very strange. Just thought I'd post since no one else has. IP: Logged |

Has your friend been confronting stuff from his past in some way? Or maybe old patterns/aspects of himself? IP: Logged |

Memories can remain buried for years, and when dead people appear in dreams, he may be reminded of different times, places or relationships which may help him deal with present situations. But ,on the flip side, to dream of dead people, may suggest a link of a spiritual nature to our long forgotten ancestors.Hope this helps? IP: Logged |

Jinkies, Shaggy. I'm slacking.Thank you all for sharing your thoughts. Hmmmm... Ra and Yang: this is someone who has gone through some major transformations in the past 2 1/2 years. Do you think it's possible that some of these things might be coming up because he's finally been alright for a while? Like maybe now that he's "safe" his mind has more time to reflect... He has changed. Perhaps it's becoming more real to him these days. I appreciate your help. Ra, I don't know if I've ever "formally" met you. If not, it's a pleasure! IP: Logged |

That is absolutely it. The subconscious mind is working through some things. How long has he been having these dreams?Future_uncertain, the pleasure is all mine, to be sure. Thank you for sharing your friend's dreams, and for the feedback. IP: Logged |

Hmmm ... that's interesting. I suppose it makes sense though ... change, ending of the old way of life, etc. IP: Logged |
