Last night was the secodn time this month I've had a violence theme dream.... I'm walking across my work place parking lot to my car, when I drop something. I pick it up, and drop it again. I begin to go towards my car, when I notice three scary men leering at me. I run as fast as I can and call my bf on my cell. I run into a house, and they follow. I dial 9-1-1, but for some reason the call doesn't go through. I attempt to hid, I run upstairs into a room and lock the door. I can hear them following me. I find a closet in the room and hid inside of it, locking it also. The closet led to another huge room with many, many doors to pick from.

Hello Planet Soul That is a scary dream. I'll look at it more closely as soon as I can, but I am wondering ... Do you feel helpless in some way? ... What is stressing you out? Work? ... Are you facing an important decision or choice, and feel overwhelmed? IP: Logged |

Hi Ra,Yes I feel very overwhelmed. My bf is very undecided about his future, sometimes he wants to enlist in the Air Force sometimes he wants to stay and keep going to school. I don't want to hold him back, and this stresses me out. I also have two jobs, one is full time and I detest it. The other is part time, and I love it but I don't know if things would be good financially if I were to quit the primary job. This was the second time I dreamt of things of that nature. The first time, a guy from work chased me to my car and raped me ): IP: Logged |

Well, what you describe about your life certainly explains the symbolic violence in your dreams. You are under a lot of stress, coming at you from different angles. These dreams are a reflection of, and a release for, these stresses. The only thing I can recommend is a simple technique in which you imagine, just before sleeping, a more acceptable version of the dream. Imagine your dream as if you were not helpless, as if you were able to stand up and totally kick everyone's collective @$$. Kind of like Neo from the Matrix. You would be surprised at how the subconscious mind can react to this kind of conscious "programming". IP: Logged | |
