Topic: Two men Two dreams Too strange?

The first night I had a dream that a man that has been in and out of my life for the last 13 years and I were shopping at a store and we each were pushing shopping carts. He went to check-out and I was still on looking for some item. When I started up to the check-out I saw that he just seemed to pass out onto the counter. The clerk just stood there looking at him. I ran up to him and took him by the shirt and gentley laid him on the floor,(he's a very large man and I would not have been able to do this in reality) told the clek to call 911 and began to try to get some response from him. Then I woke up.The next night:
I had a dream that I was with a man that I've known and dated on and off since I was 15, but I haven't seen or talked to him in about 10 years. We were doing laundry at at coin operated laundrymat. It was very busy and crowded. He was helping me find empty machines. After the clothes were all loaded he went next door to a diner. When I had gotten all the clothes into dryers I went to the diner as well. He was sitting at a booth with another man. When I walked up to him he said, "Hi! I want you to meet my brother!" When I looked at the man I saw that he was black and completely naked. (My friend is white) My friend then said we should get the clothes and go because we were going to be late for our wedding. I recall being shocked that his brother had no clothes on and that I was getting married, but I wasn't really upset by either. When we went for the clothes we discovered that someone had taken them. The next thing I remember in the dream we were married and at our house getting ready to go to bed.....I woke up. Any clues???????  IP: Logged |

The two dreams have much in common. In both, there is a relationship from your past, suggesting that, on the most basic level, this has to do with unacknowledged aspects of self. It could be that a present situation holds some similarities to those experiences in the past relationships, or that some pattern exists and is beginning to repeat. Also in both dreams is suggested a need you are attempting to fulfill (shopping/diner). In the first dream this has something to do with re-awakening some energy or dynamic which existed within that relationship. In the second dream this has something to do with "cleaning up" or cleansing some aspect of your personal image or persona (laundry). There is some part of you or your relationships that you do not acknowledge or are unaware of (black man), and it may be a "shock" to find out the "naked" truth of it. Perhaps you are in need of balance or harmony in your life, or maybe there is a need to unify the masculine and feminine aspects of yourself (wedding/married). Or maybe you are in the process of bringing together certain principles of matter and spirit within yourself, and need to cleanse certain aspects of your persona in order to complete the union. It could be suggested that you are feeling, or have felt, inadequate, powerless, or like you lost your identity (someone took clothing), and that perhaps this is what you are trying to correct. A lot of "maybes", but do any make sense?

Dear Ra, as always, you are right on the money!!!! I have read and reread your interpretation and I realized that my dreams are telling me to draw from the past, pull out the lessons, and avoid the repetition. Also, the "cleaning" of the persona and seeing the "naked" truth was spot on!
I've been dreaming about different men from my past about every other night! Some that I rarely think about when awake.
Last night I had a dream in which I performed brain surgery on myself!!!!!
Very telling, huh????
