I'm 27 now, but have had the same recurring dream since childhood, which although it has declined in frequency, still pops up every now and again leaving me confused. In it I'm walking either up, down or close to the staircase in my old house. The lighting is dim, kinda like a really weak lightbulb and I know something bad is coming - there's a real sense of terror. Anyway, there's what I can only describe as a malignant 'pressence' (almost certain male) in the lightbulb at the top of the stairs which slowly sucks or draws me towards with - as I float towards the lightbulb the room gets darker with only the dim light coming from bulb lighting the area. I always wake up before I actually reach it, and when I wake up, I always freaked out.I've been having this dream on and off for years. I can't point to anything that's happening in my life that would trigger it, and I'm always left feeling drained by it. IP: Logged |

Rob_W,Maybe you are a very sensitive person and can easily feel pranic vampires? Maybe you have such dreams every time someone trying to drain you of your energy is around? Or maybe there is something in your life that makes you feel bad about yourself? maybe at the back of your mind you are scared that you may become an "evil" person? I think it is somehow connected with your sense of guilt. This guilt could come from what adults told you about God and religion when you were a little boy (if you dont behave evil forces will possess you and take you away with them in hell... etc) Does it make any sense to you? Actually, it does. I was raised a Catholic so had the good old' Catholic guilt pretty much drummed into me from an early age - quite possibly the time I started having these dreams. I drifted away from catholicism in my teens, so maybe it's my subconcious still trying to deal with that fact. The concept of possession has been one that's always terrifired me too, so perhaps that plays a role in it. Thanks a lot Peri, that's given me a lot to thing about. IP: Logged |
