Hello all

I've had a couple of really vivid dreams the last two nights, right before waking which I wonder if anyone would care to interpret?

The first was set in an old house but the interior was all painted white and it was very bright and sunny. There were mirrors on practically every wall.

I dreamt we (me, my partner and a few others) were there for one of the paranormal investigations we do as a group. We were told the ghost story of the house which was to do with a young woman who died on her wedding day, and myself and my partner were given her bedroom to stay in.

The house had a really lovely feel to it and was all bright and sunny as I say so not a frightening ghost experience by any means. When walking around the place, I noticed that whenever I looked in any of the mirrors, I would see a woman with long red hair dressed as a bride (the ghost). Although I have long red hair, the face was different and I knew it wasn't me somehow.

I just wonder what people make of this one? I wondered whether it's something to do with me having to finally lay to rest the ghost of my desire to marry perhaps, and being forced to look at it in all those mirrors?

The next dream was an odd one! I dreamt I was in some kind of space station, rahter like Babylon 5 or something because there were aliens and humans side by side all going about their business. It looked a bit like a cross between an airport and an underground/subway station.

I was being chased by something and kept having to hide. They finally chased me into a toilet of all places, and I ran into a cubicle and did the classic jumping up on the toilet seat so they couldn't see my feet under the door. I noticed that the ceiling was made of those tiles that you can remove so I moved one to make it look like I'd escaped into the ceiling - the door flung open and the 'alien' who was chasing me barged into the cubicle. I tensed and felt a little shiver all over - he looked around the cubicle inches from where I was standing but never saw me. It was then I realised that I could become invisible and worked out that that's why they were chasing me ad it was a talent they wanted to investigate.

Woke up there and then, just as I was wondering how to slip past him and out of the door! Boy my subconscious is a cracker!

Hello Cardinalgal

About your first dream, you said, "I wondered whether it's something to do with me having to finally lay to rest the ghost of my desire to marry perhaps, and being forced to look at it in all those mirrors?"

It is more than that. You are indeed being forced to look at yourself in all those mirrors, and you did not recognize yourself because this is an unknown or unacknowledged aspect of self, but more than that it is also yourself in a past life. You were the bride who died on her wedding day, and this is directly related to your present life, your present condition. And that is the purpose of the dream, to show you, at least subconsciously, that there is a reason that you are as you are, that your current condition/situation is karmically or experientially linked to past life experience.

The beautiful thing about it is that this could be an opportunity to break the cycle, to become aware and to forgive yourself and others so that you may begin to heal that karmic/experiential wound. Do not give up hope ... that is the message I hear.

The second dream is similar. It seems to suggest that, again, you are facing an "alien"/unknown/unacknowledged aspect of yourself. You are hiding from it, you do not want to see it, yet it pursues you. The dream suggests that this is something that you need to cleanse yourself of (toilet), to release, and that you are doing anything but that. In fact, you are creating a diversion (moved ceiling tile) and trying to pretend it doesn't exist (invisible), you do not want to see it. You want to escape it (wondering how to slip past), not acknowledge/release/cleanse it.

I think the dream may be suggesting that as soon as you "realize" that you are in control (could become invisible) you may find that these things are worth "investigating". Again, do not give up hope ... that is what I hear.

What do you think and feel about all of this? Does it make any sense to you?

Walk in Peace

Hi Ra and thank you so much for that!

It's absolutely making sense, particularly the second dream now that you've explained it.

I think there's an element in me that desperately wants to marry but all my life (through fear of rejection I suppose) I've denied it almost to the point of ridiculing marriage to a certain extent. My present relationship is the greatest I've ever known and my whole perception has changed. Marriage is something that's been talked about a lot but as yet no proposals. So I think that the part of me that always secretly desired it has now come to the fore and is chasing me, trying to flag me down and make me look at myself in mirrors dressed as the very thing that's posed such a problem to me before.

Thanks so much once again Ra If there's ever anything I can do for you please let me know

You've already done it. Thank you for the feedback. What do you think about the past-life bride thing? Any feelings about it? Does that feel like it could be true?

Hi Ra

Well I don't know about a past life experience it really felt more representative of my present state of mind rather than something I've brought with me. And the interesting thing is that since I posted here and you came up with the explanations, no more dreams on that theme at all! So it obviously got right to the root of the issue my subconscious was screaming at me to deal with!

But I did have a past life dream once and a very strong one at that!

Similar sort of scenario though in that it involved a mirror. I found myself in the dream in a strange circular shaped room which had a bench type seat running round it's perimeter. On the bench was the body of a man; he was something of a giant at about 7ft tall and he was clearly dead.

I had the impression I was an undertaker's wife and was 'laying the body out' to prepare him for burial.

I looked down at my clothes and saw a long plain grey dress (sort of Victorian in style) and then I went to the mirror on the wall. The face I saw was nothing like my own now. Jet black hair tied back into a bun and a very pale face with inset brown eyes and high cheekbones. Not beautiful but not plain either. Everything was in such detail down to the lace on my high collar and a tiny jet earring in each ear.

The rest of the dream was more surreal with the body coming to life and attacking my husband but that face staring back at me from the mirror was totally real. I will never forget it; one of the strangest sensations I've ever had! Would be interested to hear your thoughts whenever you have the time

Hello Cardinalgal

Well, I really don't have any thoughts about it except that I think it's cool that you recognize it as a past life. Maybe the surreal part was symbolic somehow ... for instance, perhaps the body attacking your husband indicates that your husband was consumed by his work, at the expense of your relationship ... something like that. Could be!

Any feelings about that? Any situations similar to that this time around?
