Finally, I get to write this down since I woke up an hour ago.

I was in NYC, I think. It had just turned to night and I was downtoan near all the brownstones. It looked like somewhere around 2nd Avenue and 10th street or so. I was sitting on the steps of one near the sidewalk. A young girl came out and she had to catch her bus. I knew her from somewhere - a school or something - so I told her I'd help her because she seemed to small to me to be wandering around alone. I was telling her about Buzz for some reason because he lived across the street.

I helped her to the bus which was a couple blocks away. I think she got on though I don't remember now - or maybe she just disappeared like people do in dreams. I found myself walking with a little man. He was only about 4 1/2 feet tall and he had a cane because I think walking was a little difficult for him. We were going somewhere and a lot of it was uphill. Suddenly we came across Evan Marriott - you know that tall, good looking yet seemingly dumb guy from that show "Who Wants To Marry a Millionaire". He knew us somehow and we knew him sort of vaguely so he joined us for the walk and he started flirting with me which entertained me though I didn't take him seriously. I had a long roll of purple wrapping paper I kept swinging at him to let him know I thought he was a goofball.

At the top of the hill there was some sort of prom or college dance and that's where we were going. The building was like a pyramid but it was decorated for the dance. It was lit up and very extravagently made up. Strangely, the theme of the dance was computers so they were trying to make the face of the pyramid look like the screen of a computer and when you looked at it from just the right angle - it did. It even seemed to be illuminated blue like the Windows "blue screen of death".

I made a comment about most schools not having this kind of budget to throw dancing like this because it must have cost at least hundreds of thousands if not millions.

We went inside another door where the dance wasn't being held. I knew my way around somehow. I guess I either spent a lot of time there or lived there or something. The little man with the cane went elsewhere int he pyramid and I went to one chamber, locking Evan out. I made myself something to drink there. I don't know what it was but it was alcoholic just because I wanted a nightcap. The little man came back in and said that Evan was freaking out and insisting on seeing me and causing a scene outside. Finally I relented and said he could come in so I could hear what he had to say but he had to take the rediculous yellow firehose off of his... manhood... because that's all he was wearing thinking that I'd be really into that.

So he came in wearing instead a white suit which was nice. He didn't really look like that Evan guy anymore - well - there was a resemblance in the height and dark hair and eyebrows but he was very pale and 'smoother' somehow and not dumb at all. He was lovely but he reminded me of something unpleasant... there was some sort of danger surrounding him. He wanted to seduce me and now he was trying another tactic since his first two (being flirty and then being blatant) didn't work. Now he was trying suave and sophisticated.

We exchanged words and at first I was somewhat polite and I even considered his propositions but for some reason I kept thinking of Buzz. Why, I don't know. But I made a choice in my head to respect Buzz and turn Evan away. And I told Evan to leave. He did at first but he came back looking different again but I knew it was him. He was a ghost and had darker skin and his hair was longer, straighter and to his shoulders in a squarish cut. He wore no shirt and some sort of tunic or cloth or something around his waist that was a dark reddish colour.

I told him it was FORBIDDEN to kill himself and be a ghost again after already being a ghost, asking for human form and being granted that human form again. He laughed at me but I was genuinely horrified that he'd do such a thing and more disturbed that he could be so substantial as a ghost. He told me he could take human form whenever he liked and to prove it he became solid there in front of me. There was a part of the room with bars of some sorts and we were near those and I hoped to get him inside of them because he was coming closer and closer and changing from ghost to human and ghost to human and floating a couple feet off of the floor and I kept yelling at him that what he was doing was FORBIDDEN and completely WRONG.

------------------

and this is judgement day, so why don't you stay -
and we're killing some time before it kills us anyway -
waiting for the new light...

My initial thought (well, after.. "gawd I love her dreams!)
Was about growing up.
Not you.. but your ideal mate... What you look for, what you will accept, what you will forbid...
The dumb but goodlooking that did it for you before, (entertaining)merged into the old/ sophisticated, but not what you're after, due to well.. elderly concerns, naturally...
You want the wisdom, you want the depth, you want the sexiness.....you want the whole package. School... learning... computer.. sharing..... you knew your way around...... old man knowing where to go, you knowing where to go, locking the young man out... his appeals to seduce you not getting anywhere because you are learned beyond simple antics....
You crave something more....no matter how he tries to appeal.
Interesting.. let me know if it hit on anything.

PIXIE! That's absolutely brilliant!! You're probably right - especially with the brief references to Buzz in there.

I didn't forget about you.

I agree with Ms. Pixie, except that I think it is as much about yourself as it may be about your "ideal mate". This is probably about "growing up" in certain ways, about discerning who you are, who others are (especially the men in your life), and what you want.

I'll type out the rest as soon as I can, just wanted to bring it back up.

The young girl in the beginning is yourself. She represents the undeveloped, immature aspects of your thoughts/feelings about Buzz. So, you are symbolically helping yourself to find your way, to end the "wandering".

The little man is a guide, and he is with you as you make those "uphill" journeys. In fact, it is my understanding that this particular little man may be the personification of the bow-legged, dwarf Egyptian god Bes, protector of roads, birthing, and entertainment. (A strange combination, but the dream seems to incorporate two of these - roads/walking with him, and entertainment/the dance) Maybe this is why you ended up in a pyramid. It seems that many of your associations in this life share the German-Egyptian connection. But that's a story for another time.

I'm not exactly sure who "Evan" represents, but he is someone who changes his persona, his appearance to you, according to what he thinks will keep your interest. But he is also someone who you ultimately reject, in favour of what Buzz represents to you.

I feel there are past-life issues/connections with both of these individuals, which is making it difficult for you to determine who means what to you in this life, as the roles of these people in this life are different than they were in the past. Your description of "Evan" as a ghost strikes me as particularly Egyptian, and your conversation with him in the end seems to suggest a specific past-life event/issue that ties you to him still (could "Evan" be R?)

What made you think he had killed himself? Has someone in waking life done something that "horrifies" you, that was/is "disturbing" to you?

The last part of the dream seems like a release, a release of certain frustrations you are currently experiencing (well, back in December).

Mean anything?

oooh I didn't see this until now. For some reason I didn't get a notice about it in my email.

**The young girl in the beginning is yourself. She represents the undeveloped, immature aspects of your thoughts/feelings about Buzz. So, you are symbolically helping yourself to find your way, to end the "wandering".**

ohh I wouldn't have thought of that. That's brilliant, as per usual! And, yes, I'm so tired of the wandering. So very very very tired of it. Journeys are great. Aimless wandering is exhausting.

Bes! I had never even heard of him so I'd never have gotten this part of the dream. Thank you so much! I'm going to do some research on him.

I just did and this part made me smile:

"In this role, despite being thought of as a demon, he was seen as a supporter of Ra, helping to defeat his serpent enemies."

*It seems that many of your associations in this life share the German-Egyptian connection. But that's a story for another time.*

ohhhhhhhhhh your 'another time' comment! I wish I could spend a month with you locked in a room

Yes, yes, this makes sense. The dream was very... well I felt the connections there. It wasn't just like a storyboard dream.

**Your description of "Evan" as a ghost strikes me as particularly Egyptian, and your conversation with him in the end seems to suggest a specific past-life event/issue that ties you to him still (could "Evan" be R?)**

His last form in the dream as the ghost - his 'outfit' for lack of a better word struck me as Egyptian, yes. and... possibly it would be R. There is some of that similar vibration there.

**What made you think he had killed himself? Has someone in waking life done something that "horrifies" you, that was/is "disturbing" to you?**

Well he was a ghost already and he had killed himself again when he was already a ghost. I don't know how I knew that but I knew he did and it was forbidden for some reason and I didn't even know it was possible but he was doing it over and over.

Bes may look a bit odd, but he's an alright fellow. Actually, he represents more of an archetype, albeit archaic, that is more my projection upon the symbol ... but that is how the meaning of it presents itself through my mind. And because this is your dream, all the better.

A wild dream, but it kind of makes sense. Don't you think?

Oh, and about the "story for another time" comment ... it is only because I do not know what the whole story is yet, not because I know and keep teasing you with it. I may have some ideas, but that's all they are at the moment, and you are aware of much of that stuff. I'd probably bore you into oblivion if locked in a room together.
