first thing - for the past few months i've been "dreaming" about this guy.. the dreams are never the same but i always wake up saying his name... i don't know this person, or anyone who has this particular name... any ideas what my brain is regurgitating?second thing - last night, or rather early this morning, had an unusual experience... i wasn't dreaming, it was that space between sleep and awake... some guy got into my bed and we were talking.. i don't remember the conversation really, just the general jist of it... what struck me as really quite strange was the sound of his voice - it was kind of metallic sounding if that makes any sense... if anyone as seen the movie Mothman Prophecy ( cies? ) it was sort of like that i guess... hard to describe... it wasn't frightening just unusual... any thoughts..? last thing ( i promise ) - for those of you who have a purple plate ( and have slept on it )... did you notice at any point that your dreams seemed to be in fast forward? the first night i slept with mine everything just moved so fast it was a blur of images... just wondering if anyone else experienced something similar? thanks folks  IP: Logged |

First of all, there is certainly something to the guy and/or his name. I couldn't tell you what, but that is awfully peculiar. Any feelings about it?Second, sounds like you kind of remember parts of an astral visit. IP: Logged |

thanks Ra... all kidding aside i can only imagine how busy you are so thank you for taking some time for me...will address second question first - remembering parts of an astral visit.. cool, i'm totally alright with that as for the first question i asked... is it ok if i give you some additional info? the only other persons name that i've said upon waking up - or even in that inbetween state - has been that of my "ex" ( hate calling him that ) in fact, the first time i dreamt about this other person i was rather surprised that i said this "new" name... i do get the feeling that it's significant to me in some way - i can't quite grasp why though... the answer is there but totally eluding me ( like so many other things right now ) i will say that the last time i dreamt about him ( about two weeks ago ) it almost felt like a past life remembering thing - almost but not quite... am not sure how i can describe why - you know when you look at those old style pictures taken today, where they use that sepia colouring to make them look ancient but they're really not? that's how the last dream felt - like it was supposed to seem "old" but it really wasn't...

No problem, sweetsuccubus. And listen, it is I who should thank you for taking your time to share your dream, and for thinking so much of me. That means a lot. We used to do something in this forum a long time ago that had some interesting results. A past member named Hopeful would lexigram words, names or phrases from dreams if more meaning was being looked for. It was pretty cool. Hopeful had a knack for it, an intuitive sense, you know? And I think that's how she got the informaton out. Anyway, maybe you could get some lexi feedback on that name, you never know ... couldn't hurt. It could be as simple as some past or future life connection. I like your description of how the last dream felt, that's very good, and it does leave one with a sense that there is something more to it than the simple past-life idea. We'll have to give it a bit more thought. Do you get any other impressions of how this connection feels with this guy/name? IP: Logged |

sweetsucccubus-I wanted to share this with you. Several years ago I dreamed about a woman that I had never met. I knew that we were friends in the dreams and that she had the same name as my husband. After dreaming about her for 3 months I met her. It was an instant recongnition! To make a long story short...I knew that a ring that was given to me years before that was bought in an antique shop was hers..don't ask me how I knew, I just knew. I gave her the ring and it fit her like she had always owned it. After that I never saw her again. It is my belief that the ring had belonged to her in a past life and I dreamed of her so that I could return her ring. Maybe what RA was saying about the pastlife connection is something to think about. -Irish IP: Logged |

sweetsuccubus: I am having a series of episodic dreams like yours too. Someone I don't really know but have contacted once via e-mail and after that contact, I started dreaming of them every night and had many astral visits, like yours, would find them by my bedside screaming to wake me up or whatever, and then one time I was in a wake-sleep state dreaming and I snapped waking up saying their name! Very strange, I have no clue what's happening. I am trying to ignore it but it is not going way. I am trying to figure out what sort of connection is there, and if it is just me experiencing all these things, or the other party as well, and I arrive at square one, very frustrating feeling. Ra - what a cool idea to lexi the name... will have to ask someone to do that - not so good at it myself... oddly enough this connection feels comforting - that's the most constant thing... it's familiar but not for a reason that i can pinpoint... in the dreams i care about him and am physically attracted but that doesn't seem to be the important part... it just is, if that makes sense... Irisheyes - very cool thank you for sharing that with me... i'm not discounting that it could very well be something as simple as a pastlife recall - it just doesn't have that feeling to it, not completely... have had a couple of pastlife rememberances and i just knew that's what they were - they felt different.. that's not to say that all pastlife stuff has to be the exact same.. i dunno .. am babbling now Neptune's Muse - thank you too... and i totally understand the frustration part... my now ex used to "check" on me all the time thru my dreams - still does sometimes... and i still wonder if he experienced the same sensations... and i've found in my limited experience - the more you try to ignore something, the more insistent it becomes IP: Logged |
